NBA DraftKings DFS Lineup Picks 3/11/20

Point Guard

Elfrid Payton ($6,500) vs HawksAfter a streak of very good games, Elfrid Payton slowed down only putting up 13 FPTS in their last matchup vs the Wizards but that won’t scare me away from him tonight. He still comes into this game averaging 30 FPPG in his last 5 contests with 12.2 PPG 6.6 APG and 5.8 RPG. He is also shooting over 50% in these games. The Hawks are very shaky defensively and in this matchup I think Payton can do enough to get back on track with his 30+ FPTS performances.

Shooting Guard

Buddy Hield ($5,400) vs PelicansHield continues to be the primary scorer off the bench for the Kings and for good reason. He is shooting an excellent 47.8% from the 3 point line in his last 5 games and has paired that with a decent 4 RPG. He won’t do a lot other than scoring the ball but he does it at a high enough rate for me to still want him on my roster. After some controversy with him being on the bench at the end of their last game I expect Hield to come out firing against the Pelicans, who are allowing the 2nd most FPTS to opposing SG/SF’s on DK this season.

Small Forward

Duncan Robinson ($6,000) vs HornetsSticking with the trend of 3 point shooters I love Duncan Robinson tonight. He has been scorching hot hitting 24 threes in his last 3 games alone and has even contributed in multiple areas other than scoring which is not ideal. At only $6,000 I think Robinson is worth a shot with the way he has been shooting the ball. The Hornets are a mess defensively which should allow for Robinson to get plenty of open looks in this game at home.

Power Forward

Julius Randle ($7,800) vs HawksJulius Randle has been a bit inconsistent in recent games but he has still put up some great numbers. In the last 5 games he is averaging 19.6 PPG and 10.3 RPG while playing under 30 minutes per game. The Hawks are super limited defensively in the front court with Clint Capela still out so this could be an ideal matchup for Randle. Randle is active enough to be a great high floor play with some upside if he can get some more minutes and play well vs this defense.

Center

Nikola Jokic ($9,700) vs MavericksJokic is on one of those scoring slumps that he tends to fall into but that doesn’t mean the other parts of his game have faltered. He comes into this one putting up 14.2 PPG 11.8 RPG and 8.2 APG and despite the poor scoring he is still shooting a decent 46.7% from the field. With an average of 44.2 FPPG in the most recent 5 games getting Jokic at under $10,000 offers some pretty huge upside if he gets the shot falling. The Mavs rank 22nd vs opposing centers on DK this season and I just can’t pass up a player of Jokic’s quality in this spot.

Sleeper Play

Bobby Portis ($4,200) vs HawksDespite playing behind Julius Randle, Portis has really found a role off the bench for the Knicks and has looked like a different player post all-star break. He is putting up 15.4 PPG in the last 5 games and is hitting shots at an over 50% clip. Getting a player who is averaging almost 30 FPPG in their last 5 games at this price is a steal, especially vs the Hawks who aren’t the best team on the defensive end and tend to be involved in high scoring games.
