NBA DraftKings DFS Lineup Picks 3/31/21

Point Guard
Malcolm Brogdon ($7,000) vs Heat- Malcolm Brogdon is as consistent as it comes at the point guard spot on DraftKings. In the last 4 games, he is averaging 19 PPG 5.5 APG, and 4.8 RPG while shooting the 3 ball at a 45.7% clip. These are numbers that we have seen from him all season and I think he can keep it up vs the Heat tonight. In 2 games vs the Heat this year he is shooting 50% on 3s and is averaging almost 40 FPPG. After two good shooting nights with 22+ points, I like Brogdon in this matchup where he has shown he can be productive.
Shooting Guard
Kevin Porter Jr. ($6,000) vs Nets- Kevin Porter Jr. has shown flashes of brilliance but he hasn’t been able to put it all together consistently yet for the Rockets. His production dipped a little bit when John Wall returned, but Wall comes into this game questionable and it is unclear if he will be playing in this game. If he doesn’t play I love Porter at this price with the ability to run the offense with Christian Wood & company. The Nets defense is questionable at best so Porter will definitely have opportunities to succeed in this spot. Even with Wall in the lineup, Porter was able to put up 15 and 17 shots in each of the last two games.
Small Forward
Jae’Sean Tate ($5,900) vs Nets- Another Rockets player I like tonight is Jae’Sean Tate. Tate does a little bit of everything for this Houston team and shoots the ball at over 50% from the field. He comes into this game averaging over 30 FPPG and like Porter Jr., if John Wall doesn’t play he will have ample opportunities to rack up fantasy points. In 1 game vs the Nets this year Tate put up 12 PTS and 10 REBs which was good for 30.5 FPTS. He may not secure a double-double tonight but I do expect him to score in that range of fantasy points.
Power Forward
Robert Covington ($6,000) vs Pistons- Robert Covington isn’t one of the key scorers for the Portland Trail Blazers but he has been an animal on the defensive end and is racking up easy fantasy points. He is coming off two straight games of 43.5 FPTS and has scored 37+ in 3 of his last 4. In the last 5 games, he is averaging 2.2 BPG and 1.8 SPG to go with his 11.4 PPG 8.2 RPG on 53.6% shooting from behind the arc. Covington won’t “wow” you in any particular category on the offensive end but he does enough to make him a very good fantasy option paired with his defense.
Center
Bam Adebayo ($8,200) vs Pacers- Bam has been a force all season and I don’t see that changing tonight vs the Pacers. Bam is averaging over 47 FPTS in the last 5 games and was superb in his 2 matchups vs the Pacers this season where he averaged 24.5 PPG 9.0 RPG and 2.0 BPG on almost 60% shooting. Bam is one of the most versatile big men in the league and I don’t expect that to change in this matchup. Look for Bam to be hovering around 40+ FPTS tonight on the road.
Sleeper Play
De’Anthony Melton ($4,000) vs Jazz- Melton is one of the best fantasy players on the Grizzlies but most of his issues come with the lack of playing time. Grayson Allen went down with an injury in Memphis’ last game and Melton stepped up big supplying 23 PTS 4 REB 2 AST and 2 STLs on 58% shooting. He is much better than Grayson Allen and his performance on Monday night may have earned him some more playing time. Even if Melton doesn’t get 20+ minutes he will still put up a respectable stat line even though we wouldn’t be getting all the value we could from him at this price.
