Tyus Jones ($5,700) vs Nuggets– With Jeff Teague out due to injury Tyus Jones has been running the point and doing it pretty well. In the last 6 games Jones is averaging 11.8 PPG and 8.2 APG while shooting 51.7% from the field. He isn’t going to score in bunches but he distributes the ball well enough to make him valuable. He is averaging 30 FPTS in those same 6 games and in the last two games he has dished out 23 total assists. Against the Nuggets he should be able to put up a solid performance.
Caris LeVert ($6,100) vs Heat– LeVert is starting to play great at the right time after coming back slow after his leg injury. This is also good for fantasy owners because he has scored 30+ FPTS 5 of the last 7 games and has turned into a really consistent option producing in multiple aspects of the game. The Heat will be fully engaged with their playoff chances hinging on if they can get a win tonight but on the 2ndgame of a back to back in an emotional game last night it is unclear how effective they will be. I expect LeVert to put forth another solid performance at home tonight.
Paul George ($10,300) vs Bucks– George’s shooting percentage still hasn’t improved since the all-star break but he continues to put up some very good numbers. The Thunder are still involved in the playoff position battle in the western conference so they will need another big performance. He comes into this game having scored 50+ FPTS in each the last 3 games and has been a real force on the defense end with his steal numbers. Look for George to perform well against the Bucks who are resting a bevy of players in the season’s final game.
Luke Kornet ($5,200) vs Pistons– As the season is coming to an end Luke Kornet has found himself in the Knicks starting lineup and he is averaging 31 FPTS in each of his last 5 games. He has also logged 36+ minutes in each of the last 2 games. With his production and opportunity to make an impact both on the glass and with blocks Kornet is a steal at only $5,200 tonight against the Pistons.
Andre Drummond ($10,100) vs Knicks– Drummond has been a force on the glass as of late averaging 17 PPG and 17 RPG in the last 5 games to go along with almost 3 blocks a game. The Pistons need a win if they want to control their own destiny and get into the playoffs so surely they will be going 100%. Drummond will also have the size and physicality vs Mitchell Robinson and Luke Kornet so he should be pushing 20 rebounds once again for Detroit.
Quinn Cook ($3,800) vs Grizzlies– With Steph Curry leaving their game last night as a precaution with an ankle injury it is likely that Cook will draw the start tonight against the Grizzlies. With more minutes he has performed well logging 24 last night and scoring 19 PTS with 3 AST in a game where Curry only played 9 minutes. In his career Cook has shown the ability to step in and play well and at $3,800 I can see that happening again in a game the Grizzlies will likely be looking past as they are nowhere near the playoff race.
