NBA DraftKings DFS Lineup Picks 4/16/21

Point Guard
Reggie Jackson ($5,900) vs 76ers- Reggie Jackson is a tough guy to judge but with the injury to Patrick Beverley he has been starting and playing some good minutes. In the last 6 games, Jackson is averaging 17.3 PPG 4.3 RPG, and 4.0 APG while shooting 52.8% from the field. These shooting numbers probably aren’t sustainable but with Jackson playing 30+ minutes a game he can fill up the stat sheet. He is also coming off one of his best games of the season where he went 12/24 with 29 PTS in 37 minutes.
Shooting Guard
Anthony Edwards ($7,500) vs Heat- Anthony Edwards continues to struggle a little bit with efficiency but with the injury to Malik Beasley, he has had ample opportunity to get shots up. In the last 5 games, Edwards has put up 23.4 PPG 4.6 RPG, and 3.0 APG on 43% from the field. The % isn’t terrible but he is still putting up near 40 FPPG. Aside from the Wolves last game Edwards has also been able to grab at least 5 rebounds in 5 straight games. Edwards will likely get up 20+ shots in this matchup so I think he can get near the 40 fantasy points number so he will be on my roster.
Small Forward
Aaron Gordon ($5,700) vs Rockets- In the Nuggets first game since Jamal Murray tore his ACL they got production from an unlikely source, Aaron Gordon. Gordon had 16 PTS 9 REB and 3 AST on 7/11 shooting, which was tied for the 2nd most shots he had taken since joining the team. Gordon could score pretty well in Orlando and the Nuggets may need that with Jamal Murray out for the season. The Rockets come into this game as one of the worst defensive units so after a good performance I’m going to get Gordon in my lineup to see if it can be sustained.
Power Forward
Jae’Sean Tate ($6,200) vs Nuggets- The Rockets have been pretty bad all season but one of the bright spots of their team has been the play of Jae’Sean Tate. Tate is averaging 12 PPG 5.7 RPG 3.0 APG on 50% from the field in the last 6 games and has proven to be a very valuable role player for Houston. He is also active on the defensive end which has led to 1.8 SPG in the last 6 which has made him fantasy relevant. Look for Tate to be productive once again and hover around that 30 fantasy point mark at home vs the Nuggets.
Center
Jonas Valanciunas ($7,900) vs Bulls- It has been hard for any team to stop Jonas Valanciunas as of late and that has translated into huge fantasy performances. In the last 6 games, the big man is averaging 23.0 PPG 14.5 RPG 1.5 BPG, and is shooting near 70% from the field. These numbers have led to 48.9 FPPG and he shouldn’t have any issues vs the Bulls tonight. Bulls center Nikola Vucevic is very good on offense but he lacks a presence on the defensive end and that should allow Valanciunas to get whatever he wants on that end of the floor tonight in Chicago.
Sleeper Play
Grayson Allen ($4,400) vs Bulls- Another Grizzlies player I like tonight is Grayson Allen. Allen has been having a career season and has been playing especially well over the last 6 games. He has been playing near 30 MPG and has taken advantage by putting up 15 PPG 3 APG and 2.7 RPG while shooting the ball pretty well. He is coming off one of the best games of the season where he went 7/13 with 23 PTS and hit 6 three-pointers. Allen is dirt cheap tonight and with the number of minutes he is getting he offers a lot of value in this spot compared to some of the other players in this price range.
