Reggie Jackson ($5,200) vs Bucks–Reggie Jackson didn’t have the biggest game 1 putting up 12 points and 5 assists but now they know they are going to need much more from him if they are even going to make these games competitive without Blake Griffin. He’s had a couple 20 point breakout games over the last 10 and they will need one tonight in Milwaukee. Look for Jackson to get up 15+ shots tonight and stay around the 5 mark in assists which should make him valuable at this price point if he can get the shot to fall.
James Harden ($10,700) vs Jazz– Harden was excellent yet again in game 1 vs the Jazz scoring 29 PTS with 10 AST and 8 REB in 33 minutes of game action. He has now scored 54+ FPTS in 7 of his last 8 games coming into tonight. The Jazz showed they have no answer for Harden and with the way he is playing now I don’t think there is any type of defense that will be able to slow him down. If you want to win tonight I think you are going to need the big guns because they are some of the most consistent scorers in tonight’s slate.
Gordon Hayward ($5,300) vs Pacers– Gordon Hayward is putting up some solid numbers off the bench for the Celtics, 13.0 PPG 6.0 RPG and 4.0 APG in the last 2. With the injury to Marcus Smart he could be forced to run the bench offense a little more which should be a good things for fantasy owners and surprisingly to some he has shown the ability to play-make much better than we have seen in years past. I’m looking for Hayward to have a very solid 32.5+ FPTS night in a matchup that should be much more high scoring than what we saw in game 1.
Giannis Antetokounmpo ($10,500) vs Pistons–The second big name star that I will be rostering is Giannis Antetokounmpo, who is averaging 27 PPG 13 RPG and 3.5 APG in his last two games. In both of those games he put up 54+ FPTS and it could be a little worrisome that he only played 23 minutes in a blowout win in game 1 for the Pistons. However, I think Detroit will be able to keep it closer in this one which will allow Giannis more opportunity for FPTS although he showed that he doesn’t need a lot of time to rack up huge numbers.
Derrick Favors ($5,400) vs Rockets– Derrick Favors put up some solid numbers, 13 PTS 6 REB and 3 AST in game 1 vs the Rockets. He is sitting in this weird in-between range with Brook Lopez priced $400 above him and Mirotic $1,000 less than him but I think Favors is a better option than both. He won’t give you 30+ minutes but he can shoot it at a high percentage and has shown the ability to break out a double-double every once in a while. In my opinion Favors is a solid option who will get you 25+ on average but has the chance for much more if he can get that double-double.
D.J. Wilson ($3,600) vs Pistons– Speaking of double-doubles DJ Wilson has almost been averaging one, 11.3 PPG 9.0 RPG in the last 3 games. He is active on the glass and has shown the ability to shoot from the outside. He comes in at a dirt cheap price and even though I don’t think tonight’s game will be that big of a blowout as game 1 I still think there is some opportunity for Wilson to get a decent amount of points for someone priced in this range.
