NBA DraftKings DFS Lineup Picks 4/21/21

Point Guard

Stephen Curry ($10,500) vs Wizards- As you have probably heard, Steph Curry has been unstoppable as of late. He comes into this game averaging 43.7 PPG 5.0 APG and 5.7 RPG on 56% shooting in his last 6 games. These stats aren’t sustainable but it’s Steph Curry so who knows when this will start to slow down. He is just too good right now to pass up and should have plenty of open looks vs a Wizards team that hasn’t played good defense all season long to this point.

Shooting Guard

Reggie Jackson ($5,600) vs Grizzlies- With the numerous injuries to the Clippers, Reggie Jackson has stepped up into a prominent role and has been kind to fantasy owners thus far. In the last 6 games, Jackson is averaging 13.7 PPG 4.7 RPG, and 4.3 APG while shooting the ball at a 50% clip from 3 and is playing nearly 30 minutes a game. These are the minutes we need him to get to be fantasy valuable and we are seeing them. Look for Jackson to continue to fill up the stat sheet until Patrick Beverley and others start returning to the lineup in a more regular capacity.

Small Forward

Joe Ingles ($6,400) vs Rockets- Joe Ingles hasn’t been good for most of this season but when Donovan Mitchell went down with an injured ankle, Ingles started showing flashes of the past. Ingles has taken over a more ball-dominant role and that has turned into 18 PPG 6.8 APG and 4.0 RPG on 50% shooting from the field in the last 5 games. Ingles has always been a do it all type of player so it is good to see him put it all together with his increase in minutes. With him averaging 36.2 FPPG in the last 5, along with his matchup vs the Rockets, I love Ingles in this spot at this price.

Power Forward

Jeff Green ($5,000) vs Raptors- With Kevin Durant and James Harden out for the time being the Nets are forced to look for scoring and Jeff Green is one of those beneficiaries. KD was out last night and Green came out and scored 15 PTS with 9 REB and 6 AST en-route to 37.25 FPTS. The shooting % could have been nicer but with those counting stats that’s about all we can ask for from a guy at this price. Make sure he is in the lineup on the 2nd leg of a back-to-back but if he is he will get enough touches for him to be valuable on your roster tonight.

Center

Jakob Poeltl ($5,900) vs Heat- Jakob Poeltl’s game is not fun to watch but you can’t deny the numbers that he puts up and the efficiency he does it at. In the last 5, he has put up 11 PPG .76 RPG and has blocked 2.2 shots per game on 64% shooting from the field. If you look even closer he has shot the ball at over 70% in 4 of the last 5 games. Poeltl is a beast on the defensive end and he gets enough looks on offensive rebounds and dump-off passes for him to be fantasy relevant. The Spurs will take on the Heat tonight, who rank in the bottom half of the league in allowing FPTS to opposing big men on DK. Look for Poeltl to have a strong night.

Sleeper Play

Jalen Brunson ($4,400) vs Pistons- Brunson continues to chug along behind Luka Doncic playing a lot of minutes in an off-ball guard or back-up point guard role for the Mavs. He is coming off of a great game where he scored 20 PTS with 4 REB and 4 AST on 80% shooting from the field. The 80% won’t happen again but the other numbers are things we have seen in the past. The Pistons defense is subpar at best and I think Brunson is criminally underpriced in this large slate of games compared to the other players in this lower price range
