Eric Bledsoe ($6,800) vs Pistons– Bledsoe has been having an excellent series vs the Pistons averaging 20.3 PPG 5.3 APG and 4.3 RPG in less than 30 minutes of action. With only 2 games tonight the options are limited but of all the starting PGs I think Bledsoe offers the most “value” with his ability to contribute in multiple stat categories including SPG where he is averaging 2 per game. Look for Bledsoe to be at the top of his game as the Bucks look to close out the Pistons so they can focus on round 2 vs the Celtics.
Donovan Mitchell ($7,900) vs Rockets– Donovan Mitchell has been having a rough series but it looks like he broke out of his mini-slump in game 3 where he scored 34 PTS 6 REB and 5 AST in a losing effort. The home court seems to have comforted Mitchell as he got up 27!!! shot attempts which is much more than the 18 and 19 he had in game 1 and 2. The Jazz obviously need this game so are going to get everyone’s best effort and for the Jazz to have a chance they are going to need 30+ from Mitchell tonight.
Luke Kennard ($4,900) vs Bucks– Despite a subpar performance in game 3, Kennard has been solid for the Pistons scoring 30+ FPTS in 3 of his last 4 games overall. He is receiving upwards of 30 minutes per game and his shot making offers something that the Pistons lack currently on their roster. Surprisingly he was also able to grab 7 rebounds in their last game which is new and has consistently gotten 2 assists per game. In order to save for some big name players we are going to have to take some chances and Kennard has proven in this series that he can provide some value for a player that is priced under $5,000 tonight.
P.J. Tucker ($4,500) vs Jazz– Sticking with the trend of good value I really like P.J. Tucker tonight. He has put up some solid numbers in this series, 13.0 PPG 6.0 RPG while shooting 45% from behind the arc. Tucker may not have a “sexy” game but you can’t deny his numbers and you also know he is going to be a threat for steals on the defensive end. With the activity Tucker plays with he has a higher ceiling compared to a lot of guys in this range and that is why he will be in my lineup.
Andre Drummond ($8,400) vs Bucks– Drummond really struggled from the field in the Pistons last game going 5/14 but with his play this year that is not something we can expect to carry into this game 4 matchup at home. Even though he struggled he still put up 40+ FPTS and has done that in two straight games. He will always grab big time rebounds and with Blake back we can hope that it will open some things up for Drummond tonight assuming he can actually get his layups to fall in game 4.
Pat Connaughton ($4,200) vs Pistons– Bucks SG Pat Connaughton has shown this season that off the bench he can get hot and put up some really good numbers. He hasn’t grabbed any less than 5 rebounds in this series and has scored double-digit points in all but 1 game. That is pretty solid in my opinion for someone priced this low in a slate that only consists of two games. If you are looking for a low-cost option who you know will be able to get minutes and a decent amount of shots Pat is your guy tonight.
