With only 1 game on the NBA slate we are only able to play “Showdown Captain Mode” where you select one player who cost 1.5x their regular salary but they get you 1.5x the FPTS.
Kevin Durant ($17,100) vs Clippers– KD has dominated in the stats department in this series, he comes into this game averaging 34.3 PPG 6.0 APG and 5.5 RPG on 57% shooting from the field in the last 4 games. Ever since Cousins went down he has taken on an even bigger role scoring the ball and has looked to be in more of an offensive groove than his counterpart Steph Curry. When Durant is playing like this nobody can stop him and I love him as my “captain” in tonight’s format with only 1 game on the slate.
JaMychal Green ($5,400) vs Warriors– Green has been moved into the starting lineup to match the Warriors when they go small and it paid off in their last game as Green scored 15 PTS with 4 REB and hit 3 three pointers. Green can stretch the floor and at times make an impact on the defensive glass. He is a capable defender and because of that he has earned valuable minutes in these games that have been high scoring. He hasn’t shot below 50% in any of the last 4 games and I don’t think that will start tonight in a home game that will surely be high scoring again.
Draymond Green ($7,800) vs Clippers– Draymond didn’t have his best performance in the Warriors last game but he did score 27.75 FPTS on a pedestrian 7 PTS 7 REB and 6 AST. In a game where the Warriors will surely be going all out not wanting to have to play again I think Draymond has 10 assist potential tonight. As long as he can come somewhere near double-digit points I think the other stats will always come to Green is a “safe” pick tonight.
Patrick Beverley ($6,200) vs Warriors– Beverley has been a beast on the glass grabbing 24 rebounds in the last two games as a guard. In those games he has also scored double-digit points and for a guy only averaging 7.8 PPG on the season it is impressive. His price has gone up considerably over the last couple days I have no issues riding with a player like Beverley after two straight 42.5+ FPTS performances.
