Point Guard
Lonzo Ball ($7,500) vs Hawks- Lonzo missed a lot of the last couple of weeks due to injury but he returned on Sunday in a big way. He finished the night with 27 PTS 9 AST 4 REB and 3 STL while hitting 8 of 15 threes. Obviously, we can’t expect those 3 numbers to continue but it was a great sign to see the shot falling down. Lonzo is very active on defense and with his playmaking ability he can rack up assists very quickly. The Hawks come into this game allowing the most FPTS on DK to opposing PGs so at this price I’m going to roster Lonzo Ball.
Shooting Guard
Lou Williams ($5,300) vs Pelicans- Lou Williams hasn’t been very efficient since joining the Hawks but he plays a lot of minutes and has been getting his shots up in bunches. He has played an average of 28 minutes in the last two games and has shot it 15 times in each game. Williams comes off the bench in a role he has thrived in his entire career being the main focal point of the offense and running a bit of point guard. He is averaging almost 27 FPPG in the last 3 games and I think we can see that number jump with more assists and being slightly more efficient with his jump shot. I’ll have Lou Williams on my roster vs a porous Pelicans defense.
Small Forward
Jaylen Brown ($7,600) vs 76ers- Brown has been solid all year scoring the ball efficiently while contributing on the glass and the defensive end. In the last 4 games, he is averaging 22.0 PPG 6.0 RPG and is shooting the ball at 42% from behind the arc. Brown can go hot and cold but when he is on he can easily eclipse 40 FPPG. He has played 2 games vs the 76ers this season and was superb averaging 49.5 FPPG. Brown’s price has dropped a little bit in recent games but I think at this price he is too low and there is a lot of value here.
Power Forward
Aaron Gordon ($6,300) vs Pistons- Aaron Gordon hasn’t been getting as many shots in Denver as he did in Orlando but he has been able to take easier shots, which has been great for his FG%. He is coming off his best game in Denver where he scored 24 PTS 7 REB and adding plenty of defensive counting stats for a total of 39.75 FPTS. We can’t expect this every game but it is good to see him finally get some more looks on offense with his new team. Look for him to take advantage of a Pistons defense that ranks 29th vs opposing forwards on DraftKings this season.
Center
Draymond Green ($6,700) vs Bucks- Draymond Green’s scoring has gone up and he has continued to fill up the stat sheet in a point forward role for the Warriors. In the last 4 games, Draymond is averaging 9.5 PPG 9.3 APG and 6.0 RPG while shooting at a 57.7% clip. Usually, the downfall of Green is that he can’t score so it is good to see him score in double digits in each of the last 3 games. Green is one of the leaders in assists per game in the league and with Steph back in the lineup I love Draymond in this spot.
Sleeper Play
Malachi Flynn ($3,900) vs Lakers– The Raptors come into this game beat up in the backcourt which has led to an increased opportunity for Malachi Flynn. He has played 30+ minutes in each of the last 2 games and has averaged 16 PPG 5.5 RPG 4.5 APG 3 SPG and 1.5 BPG. Flynn filling up the stat sheet is good to see and it is good to see him shooting the ball at a decent clip as well. It is unclear if Fred VanVleet will be out of the lineup again tonight but if he is we could be getting a steal of a deal on Flynn at this price. At under $4,000 he is well worth taking a chance on
