Kemba Walker ($9,100) vs Cavaliers–As the Hornets push for the 8 spot in the playoffs Kemba Walker has been a tough man to stop. He comes into this game averaging 28.7 PPG 5.7 APG and 4.2 RPG in his last 6 games and even that doesn’t do him justice because of an off game with only 9 points brings the averages down. He will be up against a Cavs team tonight who has no business competing and are not a good defense team usually. Look for Kemba to put the team on his back because they 2 wins if they want a shot.
Trey Burke ($5,300) vs Suns– With the Mavs in full tank mode Trey Burke has been getting a lot of playing time and he has been making the most of it, Burke is averaging 18.0 PPG and 5.0 APG on an excellent 51.6% from the field in the last 5 games. Even if Doncic plays tonight he will get ample amount of time off the bench and will produce somewhat like how he did on the Knicks. The Suns are allowing the 8thmost fantasy points to opposing guards this season which is a good sign. This is a game where both teams should be looking to lose at the end but it should be a tight matchup for most of the game.
Kentavious Caldwell-Pope ($5,900) vs Trail Blazers– With the bevy of injuries on the Lakers roster Caldwell-Pope has found himself as the primary scorer and he has filled in very well. In the last 6 games he has put up 21.8 PPG 4.0 RPG and 3.5 APG while getting up tons of shots night in and night out. He has gotten up a staggering 47 shots in the last two games and it has become clear that is how it will be as we close the season. At under $6,000 a player getting this much action on the offensive end is a play for me.
Thomas Bryant ($7,700) vs Celtics– As the season winds down we have to start looking for somewhat underrated players who are getting a lot more looks than usual as teams are looking to see what they have for next season. One of those players in Thomas Bryant who comes into this game averaging 17.4 PPG and 10.4 RPG on 62.7% from the field which is far and away better than the 10 and 6 he averaged this season. Against a Celtics team that is sitting pretty much every rotational player he should have the advantage tonight at home.
Dwight Powell ($6,100) vs Suns– Powell continues to just put up some solid numbers for the Mavs. He comes into this game averaging 28.9 FPTS in the last 4 games again and has been incredibly efficient from the field. We don’t know yet if Luka Doncic is playing but if he is that will only boost Powell’s value because of Doncic’s passing ability but even if he doesn’t he can be more of a focal point scoring the ball. Against a Suns team that ranks dead last vs opposing centers in DFS I like Powell at this price at home.
James Johnson ($4,000) vs 76ers–Johnson has been down for a lot of the year but the injury to Josh Richardson in the middle of a fight for a playoff spot he has been forced to be more active in the offense and he has done well. He is averaging 16.5 PPG and 5.0 APG in the last 2 games and has played 28+ minutes in both contests. At only $4,000 I think Johnson offers great value especially with his play as of late.
