With only 1 game on the NBA slate we are only able to play “Showdown Captain Mode” where you select one player who cost 1.5x their regular salary but they get you 1.5x the FPTS.
Chris Paul ($11,700) vs Warriors– With only 1 game on tonight’s slate I’m making Chris Paul my “captain” which means he will cost me 1.5x his original salary but give me 1.5x the points. He didn’t shoot the ball well in his last game but he has been very consistent scoring 35.8 FPPG in the last 4 games on only 36.2% shooting from the field. We know Chris Paul is a better player than this and in a must win game we will surely see his best performance. With the numbers Paul is putting up in the rebound and assists category I think he is a very high ceiling player if he can score some more points.
Stephen Curry ($10,400) vs Rockets– Our second high priced player will be Steph Curry who has now scored 40+ FPTS in each of his last two games. Without KD he will be forced to step up in the scoring department and we have already seen some of that after KD fell in their last game because that is when Curry went on his scoring streak. Hopefully he will carry that good shooting into this game and we can see one of those vintage performances we are used to seeing.
Clint Capela ($6,200) vs Warriors– Capela didn’t shoot well from the field, 3/10, but he was able to grab 14 rebounds against the smaller Warriors front court. Without KD the Warriors will be even smaller and we should see the big man put up another solid performance on the boards. Capela is shooting 64% on the year so I don’t expect to see another 3/10 outing. In this 1 game slate I think a lot of people will overlook Capela tonight.
Andre Iguodala ($5,800) vs Rockets– Iguodala continues to play great in the playoff for the Warriors, 12.5 PPG 5.5 RPG 3.8 APG in his last 4 games on 55.6% shooting. He has been doing a little bit of everything on offense and without KD the Warriors are going to need their role players to do a little more. He has shown the ability to shoot from the outside in this series and the Warriors will surely be looking at his veteran presence. With multiple games over 30 FPTS in this series I think he offers great value in this spot.
