With only 1 game on the NBA slate we are only able to play “Showdown Captain Mode” where you select one player who cost 1.5x their regular salary but they get you 1.5x the FPTS.
Pascal Siakam ($12,600) vs Bucks–Pascal Siakam didn’t play his best basketball towards the end of their series vs the 76ers but he should be able to take advantage of some matchup against the Bucks. Despite his struggles, especially in game 7, Siakam still averaged 16.5 PPG and 7.0 RPG for 34.3 FPTS per game but only shot 37.5% from the field. In 4 games vs the Bucks this season he is averaging 24.3 PPG which is the 2ndhighest he has averaged vs any team this year. Knowing this I will be taking Siakam as my “captain” tonight.
Kawhi Leonard ($11,400) vs Bucks– Kawhi Leonard is pricey but with the way he played in the last series he is very much worth it. In the last 4 games Kawhi is averaging 32.5 PPG 11.8 RPG and 4.3 RPG on 47% shooting from the field. He is playing at an elite level right now and besides Giannis is the best DFS player in this series. We know he is going to get a lot of shots up so in game 1 of this series he is going to be “the guy” and at this price I think his previous play in the playoffs has justified it.
Malcolm Brogdon ($6,000) vs Raptors– Brogdon returned to the rotation in the Bucks last game vs the Celtics and played well putting up 22 FPTS in only 17 minutes of action. It has been reported that Brogdon will continue to come off the bench but will see some more minutes after about a week off since their last game. He is shooting 42.9% from 3 vs the Bucks in the regular season and I expect his play to step up big time as the days go by since he returned from his injury.
Nikola Mirotic ($5,200) vs Raptors– Mirotic hasn’t been scoring a lot of points but he is a good enough rebounder to make him valuable as a middle tier option in this 1 game slate. He is coming off of a game where he scored 10 PTS and 11 REB and recorded 36.75 FPTS. Mirotic has also been getting up the shots, 9+ shots in his last 5 games. They haven’t been all falling but we know he has the ability to hit the deep ball and with how many he is taking he has a lot of upside in this spot. Take a long look at Mirotic if you are in need of a quality middle tier option in tonight’s 1 game slate.
