With only 1 game on the NBA slate we are only able to play “Showdown Captain Mode” where you select one player who cost 1.5x their regular salary but they get you 1.5x the FPTS.
Kyle Lowry ($11,700) vs 76ers–Kyle Lowry may not be scoring points consistently but he has been scoring fantasy points at a solid rate. In the last 4 games Lowry is averaging 13 PPG 7.8 APG and 4.0 RPG for a total of 33 FPTS per game. Whether he scores or not Lowry is going to rack up the assists and grab a good number of rebounds for a point guard. Coming off of a 20 point game I think Lowry will carry that success into game 3. He has also hit multiple 3 pointers in 5 of his last 6 games. Lowry is my “captain” tonight in this modified format due to there only being 1 game.
Pascal Siakam ($9,800) vs 76ers– Pascal has continued to dominate in these playoffs and has really shown people what he can do. He comes into this game averaging 22.5 PPG 6.5 RPG on 51.4% FG and 45.5% from behind the arc. He possesses a rare combo of speed and size that makes him a threat on any part of the floor. With Kawhi getting whatever he want that will open things up for Siakam and with 3 games above 39.25 FPTS I have no issue paying the almost $10,000 for him tonight in game three vs the 76ers.
Marc Gasol ($6,800) vs 76ers– Sticking with the Raptors I like Marc Gasol tonight against Joel Embiid and the Sixers. Gasol hasn’t scored in double digits in this series so far but he has been doing a little bit of everything. He continues to get a good amount of shots up, 14 FGA through 2 games, but they just haven’t been falling. Gasol is too good of a player to keep shooting at this low of a percentage and paired with this assist ability for a big man I think $6,800 is great value in this one game slate.
James Ennis ($3,200) vs Raptors– Ennis isn’t a household name on the Sixers but he has put together 3 straight solid games for Philly and has become a pretty vital option off the bench. In the last 3 games he is averaging 11.7 PPG 3.3 RPG 2.2 APG and is shooting 56.5% from the field. Ennis is a 3 and D guy who has also shown that he can finish in transition during this series. At only $3,200 rostering Ennis will allow you to get another high level player in your lineup and of all the lower tier options I think Ennis offers the most.
