Point Guard
LaMelo Ball ($7,900) vs Bulls- LaMelo Ball is back from injury and it looks like he is back to the minutes he was playing before he went down. In the 3 games since his return Ball has put up 16 PPG 6.3 APG and 6.7 RPG which is good for almost 40 FPPG. Ball is a do it all player and even if he isn’t shooting the best percentage he is still going to fill up all the counting stats. He will be up against a Bulls team that isn’t very good on the defensive end and Ball should have full reign of the offense for 30+ minutes in this one.
Shooting Guard
Reggie Jackson ($5,400) vs Lakers– Reggie Jackson has been a solid option for the Clippers off the bench for most of the season. He is coming off a great game where he scored 18 PTS with 5 REB and 5 AST in 33 minutes of game action. The minutes are an encouraging sign and it looks like he has taken a Lou Williams-like role as a scorer off the bench for LA. Jackson has scored double-digit points in 4 of the last 5 games and has looked to be in a groove from behind the 3 point line. Look for Jackson to have another solid night off the bench for the Clippers in a big game vs their in-town rivals.
Small Forward
Dillon Brooks ($6,000) vs Pistons- Dillion Brooks continues to be really aggressive with his shot attempts and that is great for fantasy owners. In the last 6 games, he is averaging 18.5 PPG and is shooting the ball at an over 41% clip from behind the arc. Brooks doesn’t do much other than score but he is doing enough scoring right now to make him worth this price. In 3 of the last 4 games, Brooks has taken over 18 shots and that doesn’t seem like something that will slow down anytime soon. He will be up against a Pistons team that ranks 28th vs opposing SG/SF’s this season on DK so I will have Brooks on my roster with confidence tonight on the 2nd end of a back-to-back.
Power Forward
Draymond Green ($7,200) vs Thunder- Draymond still hasn’t been scoring the ball very well but he quite literally does everything else extremely well for fantasy owners. In the last 6 games Green has put up 7.5 PPG 11.0 RPG 8.8 APG 1.7 BPG and 1.8 SPG which is good for over 40 FPPG and he has shot 65.5% from the field. He doesn’t shoot a lot but he has been making them when he does and that is great for someone who can fill up the stat sheet in so many other areas. With Curry playing so well Green should have plenty of opportunities for more assists and after 60 fantasy points in his last matchup vs the Thunder, we can expect him to play very well again tonight.
Center
Domantas Sabonis ($10,400) vs Hawks- Despite the Pacers struggles, Domantas Sabonis continues to put up excellent numbers. He has put up 25 PPG 17 RPG and 10.3 APG in the last 3 games on 70.5% shooting in the 3 games, which is obviously superb. In two games vs the Hawks this season he has shot over 50% and scored 46.1 FPPG. But he wasn’t scoring as well and as easy as he is in this most recent stretch. A lot like Jokic, Sabonis does so much from the center spot that he has a high floor and if his shots are falling he can put up huge games for your team. With that being said I like Sabonis tonight after another good game of near 50 FPTS last night.
Sleeper Play
Ty Jerome ($3,900) vs Warriors- The Thunder are rolling with a lot of different lineups as the season nears an end and Ty Jerome is a player who is reaping the benefits. In the last 5 games, Jerome has gotten 23.1 minutes per game and that has translated into 23.6 FPPG. He is shooting over 56% from 3 in those 5 games and has also been passing the ball very well. Jerome is priced dirt cheap at under $4,000 tonight so I will take the chance on him and hope he can continue his streak of good play on the road vs Golden State.
