Point Guard
Ben Simmons ($7,900) vs Hawks- In the grand scheme of things, nobody would say Ben Simmons has played well in this series. He can’t seem to hit a free throw and he hasn’t been as aggressive as we have seen in the past. However, with all the talk about his play and it being a must-win game for the Sixers, I think we should see a different Simmons tonight. He probably still won’t make a free throw but we should expect more than 4 shot attempts and with the way he has been filling up the stat sheet it will be great for fantasy owners. The Hawks defense as a whole leaves a lot to be desired so I will take a chance on Simmons given his high floor.
Shooting Guard
Joe Ingles ($5,500) vs Clippers- Joe Ingles continues to be a great option for the Jazz with Mike Conley out. He is the main playmaker in the offense and that has translated to some solid fantasy performances. He comes into this game averaging 15.4 PPG 4.4 APG 4.0 RPG on 54% shooting in the last 5 games. This translates to over 30 FPPG and even if Mike Conley is in the lineup I think Ingles could be very valuable with Donovan Mitchell banged up. At this price, Ingles offers great value and I would take a long look at him in this slate.
Small Forward
Tobias Harris ($7,700) vs Hawks- Tobias Harris had been having a superb series vs the Hawks until the last game where he went 2/11 and finished the game with only 4 PTS and 4 REBs. After hitting almost everything in the first handful of games this was probably due to happen but I don’t think it will continue into this game. Harris doesn’t take many threes and gets a lot of easy looks near the rim, they just weren’t falling on Wednesday night. Harris is a good enough player so I think he can put the last game out of his mind and come back to his usual self-tonight in a must-win game for the 76ers.
Power Forward
Danilo Gallinari ($4,500) vs 76ers- Gallinari continues to be a solid option off the bench for the Hawks and brings in some much-needed scoring when Trae Young and company are out of the game. In the last 4 games of this series, Gallo is averaging 15.3 PPG 6.5 RPG and is shooting 94.1% from the line. Gallinari gets himself some easy baskets and it is good to see him making a contribution on the glass, which we didn’t see much of in the regular season. He is dirt cheap in this 2 game slate tonight and after playing great on Wednesday night I will be confident having him in my lineup.
Center
Joel Embiid ($11,000) vs Hawks- Despite playing on a torn meniscus, Joel Embiid has been pretty unstoppable against the Hawks. In the last 4 games alone he has put up 30.3 PPG 14.0 RPG 4.8 APG and 2.0 BPG and that includes the game where he went 4/20 from the field. He has been getting to the foul line a ton and it is good to see him hitting those shots at over an 80% clip. There really isn’t much to say here because Embiid has been that good and it doesn’t look like Atlanta has any answer for the Philly big man. The price may be steep but with the numbers, he has been putting up, worth it.
Sleeper Play
Terance Mann ($3,200) vs Jazz- With the injury to Kawhi Leonard the Clippers are now forced to go further into their bench to find some scoring. After the Clippers last game that person may be Terance Mann, who has shown flashes throughout the playoffs so far. He played tied his career playoff minutes high and returned 23 FPTS and shot the ball 8 times. Mann is very active on the defensive end as well so that will only help his value here. Mann is just so cheap to pass up here and if he gets more of those 3s to fall he could be an incredible value at this price. Take a look at Mann if you are rostering Embiid and need to find some cheaper options in other parts of your lineup.
