NBA DraftKings DFS Lineup Picks 6/24/21

“Captain”

Paul George ($16,800) vs Suns- Paul George is the most expensive player in this slate but I still feel comfortable rostering him as my “captain” tonight. Despite not playing his best he still racked up 41.5 FPTS without the multiplier in game 2 and we should expect better play from the #1 option on the Clippers without Kawhi on the floor. In the last 5 games, George is still averaging 55 FPPG and I wouldn’t expect much less than that coming into this game that could be considered a must-win for the Clippers.

Standard Play

Deandre Ayton ($9,000) vs Clippers- Deandre Ayton has come to play in the playoffs for the Suns. He was superb in game 2 of this series putting up 24 PTS 14 REB on 12/15 from the field which resulted in 48 FPTS. A lot of people had written off Ayton but he has been key in the Suns success this season and especially in the playoffs. In the last 3 games, he is averaging 18.7 PPG 10.8 RPG, and 71% shooting from the field and if the Clippers continue to go small these are numbers we could continue to see. Ayton is a double-double machine and at under $10,000 I will take that from the former #1 pick.

Standard Play

Reggie Jackson ($7,800) vs Suns- Jackson was there once again for the Clippers putting up 19 PTS on 7/15 shooting in game 2 and is now averaging over 20 PPG in each of the last 4 playoff games. Jackson has been huge in the scoring department for LAC and if they want to take a game in this series they are going to need him again. With Kawhi Leonard out once again, Jackson will the #2 in the offense and will get up plenty of shots to be valuable at this price point in a 1 game slate.

Standard Play

Terance Mann ($5,000) vs Suns- Terance Mann hasn’t been putting up 39 PTS in any of the two games in this series as he did vs the Jazz, but he has still been a solid option for the Clippers. He has only taken 9 total shots in this series but I think Mann will need to get more looks if LA wants to stay in this series. The upside is probably limited here with the other Clippers guards playing more in this series but in a 1 game slate, I think we have to go with Mann who has shown the ability to score if he needs to and if he is called upon. Take a look at Mann because if he gets hot he can have a big game to go along with his solid defense.

Standard Play

Cameron Johnson ($4,400) vs Clippers- Cameron Johnson continues to be a solid option off the bench for the Suns and is a player who gives them shooting and very solid defense. In the last 3 games, Johnson is averaging 10.0 PPG 3.0 RPG and has shot the ball at a 70% clip from the field. Johnson is averaging almost 20 FPPG in this series and even though he doesn’t take enough shots he has at least 1 steal in every game since May 30th and has proven to be a force on that end of the court. Consider Johnson because he has been consistent throughout the playoffs thus far.

Standard Play

Patrick Beverley ($3,200) vs Suns- Patrick Beverley was out of the rotation at one point in these playoffs but he has now played 26+ minutes in 2 of the last 3 games and it looks like he will be seeing the floor more in this series. He comes into this game averaging 17.7 FPTS per game in 21 MPPG over the last 5 games and I think we could see an even bigger minute jump. Beverley is still a solid defender and is a pest for opposing offenses which makes him valuable to have on the court. Fantasy wise he provides those defensive counting stats and he has shot the ball well from deep, 5/9 in the last 3 contests. Beverley is dirt cheap here and if you need to save some money to roster two stars he could be a great value option.
