NBA DraftKings DFS Lineup Picks 6/29/21

“Captain”

Giannis Antetokounmpo ($18,000) vs Hawks- Giannis is easily the best player in this series and one of the safest picks of the entire slate. Obviously, the price is very steep but he has returned what is needed from him. He comes into this game averaging 32.4 PPG 12.4 RPG 5.4 APG on 60% shooting which translates to over 60 FPPG in the last 5. He is hitting his free throws and it doesn’t look like the Hawks have anybody that can slow him down and stop him from coming into the lane. He has been on the injury report with a calf injury but it didn’t seem to hinder him in game 3 and he should be near 100% tonight.

Standard Play

Jrue Holiday ($9,400) vs Hawks- Jrue Holiday has his worst game of the series in game 3 but he was still able to put up 36.5 FPTS despite going 2/11 from the field. Holiday does so much in terms of playmaking and on the defensive end which makes him a valuable commodity on DK. In the last 5 games, he has put up 8.4 APG and has almost averaged 2 steals per game to go along with his 19 PPG. Holiday’s shot has been inconsistent at times but I wouldn’t worry about not rostering him because of that. Pick Jrue Holiday with confidence in this game the Bucks can win to take real control of this series.

Standard Play

Kevin Huerter ($7,000) vs Bucks- Other than Trae Young, Kevin Huerter may be the 2nd best player in this series against the Bucks. Red Velvet is averaging 15.2 PPG and 5.2 RPG over the last 5 games and has hit big shot after big shot for the Hawks. With the injury to Trae Young, he could also see some more time on the ball and after 7 assists in game 3, we know he has the ability to put up big numbers. His price has gone down from game 3 but I think he will still return value at this price especially with the uncertainty of Trae Young. With numerous players banged up for Atlanta, I would take a long look at Huerter and other role players on the roster.

Standard Play

Bobby Portis ($4,400) vs Hawks- Bobby Portis was out of the rotation earlier in the playoffs but he has been getting more minutes and he has been producing in a big way off the Milwaukee bench. He had his best game of the series in game 3 where he recorded 15 PTS and 4 REB on 7/12 from the field. Portis has been a big energy guy off the bench and he has shown off his ability to shoot the ball and make an impact on the offensive glass. He won’t play heavy minutes so his upside is limited, but at this price, he offers great value and will get a lot of shots compared to the other players in his price range.

Standard Play

Danilo Gallinari ($5,800) vs Bucks- It may not look the prettiest but Gallinari just gets the ball in the basket. In extended minutes on Sunday night, he put in 18 PTS and 4 REB on 50% shooting from the field. He won’t do a lot other than score but he can do it in bunches and the Hawks will need it if they want to take another game in this series. His minutes were higher due to John Collins being in foul trouble, but I have confidence that Danilo will continue to get up shots in bunches. The price has gone up a bit but in this 1 game format, I think we have to take some chances on a couple of guys who could get hot.

Standard Play

Lou Williams ($2,800) vs Bucks- Lou Williams hasn’t done a lot in this series but he could be thrust into action if Trae Young is limited or doesn’t play at all due to an ankle injury. As of this writing, his status is still up in the air so we are still speculating here, but he has proven to be effective when given starters minutes. He is a liability on defense but in 4 starts this season the veteran guard is averaging 18.5 PPG 7.8 APG and 4.8 RPG. It’s the playoffs so we likely won’t get that big of numbers but it’s good to see that he can be effective running an offense. At this price, it’ll be hard to pass up lemon pepper Lou with Trae banged up.
