Point Guard
Mike Conley ($6,100) vs Mavericks– Mike Conley has really disappointed Jazz fans over the course of the season but it looks like he is starting to get it going on the offense end when the Jazz are looking for scoring. In the last 4 Jazz games Conley is averaging 19.8 PPG 6.0 APG and 3.8 RPG which is good for 34.7 FPPG. Conley has never been a prolific scorer but with the Jazz down Bojan Bogdanovic he has been forced to pick it up and it has worked out well so far. Most of Dallas’ games this year have been of the higher scoring variety so I like Conley at this price.
Shooting Guard
Tim Hardaway Jr. ($5,600) vs Jazz– Luka Doncic is listed as out for tonight’s game vs the Utah Jazz so there will be a lot that will have to be made up on the offensive end of the ball. One of the players who I think can do that is Tim Hardaway Jr. and he has shown this in the past. Hardaway was almost a 20 PPG scorer at one point leading an offense, which is what he and Porzingis will be doing tonight. At this price I am still willing to roster Hardaway Jr. even after some poor shooting performances.
Small Forward
Royce O’Neale ($4,800) vs Mavericks– If you follow my picks regularly you should know by now that I love Royce O’Neale. He is consistently priced at or below $5,000 and delivers by contributing in multiple aspects of the game. He is averaging 9 PPG 9 RPG 3 APG and 2.3 SPG in the last 4 games for the Jazz. This is good for 30 FPTS per game which is something he has shown he can do when he gets consistent playing time. After almost playing 40 minutes the other night I think we are in another situation where O’Neale is able to give us a great return for someone at this price.
Power Forward
Deandre Ayton ($8,000) vs Thunder– The Suns have been rolling and, other than Devin Booker, Ayton has been a reason why. In 5 games Ayton has put up 18.2 PPG 9.8 RPG and has blocked over 1 shot per game. He is a double-double threat anytime he steps foot on the court and since play started in the bubble he has been showing off his jump shot a little more than usual. He scored 16 PTS in his only matchup vs the Thunder this season and I would expect nothing less than that from him in this matchup as the Suns move closer to a chance at a playoff spot.
Center
Bam Adebayo ($7,900) vs Pacers– Bam is one of the most underrated players in the league and he has shown people since the restart why he has the potential to be one of the best big men in the league. In the last 5 games he has put up 15.4 PPG 8.2 RPG and 5.4 APG and in 2 of the last 3 games he has scored over 44 FPTS. He has played 2 games vs the Pacers this year and has been equally as dominant scoring 18 PPG with 12 RPG and 5 APG. The Pacers are down Sabonis so I think Bam will be able to take advantage of this matchup especially if Myles Turner goes down with foul trouble early, which we have seen once already in the bubble games so far.
Sleeper Play
Trey Burke ($3,700) vs Jazz– Trey Burke got off to a blistering hot start for the Mavs in their first game of the restart but he has since cooled down considerably. However, there are some encouraging signs such as the amount of shots he has been taking. Burke has been far from shy putting up 13 shots in the Mavs last game and 15 the game before that. We might just see that again tonight with Luka Doncic out of the lineup due to rest. Even though he didn’t shoot well in those 2 games he still scored over 20 FPTS in each so I don’t think taking a flyer on him here is a bad option.
