Point Guard
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander ($7,400) vs Rockets– Shai had a rough game 1 vs the Rockets but he has since started to play much better and has filled up the stat sheet. He has scored no less than 44 FPTS in each of the last 2 games and has shot over 50% from the field and added 6+ rebounds as well. Chris Paul will get the majority of the assist numbers but it is good to see Gilgeous-Alexander get the shot rolling and they will need him to continue this if they want to come away with a victory this afternoon in game 4.
Shooting Guard
Eric Gordon ($6,000) vs Thunder– Eric Gordon is a player who, without Russell Westbrook in the lineup, is going to get up the 2nd most shots behind James Harden. He has lived up to that in the last 2 games shooting over 20 times and in game 1 he shot it 17 times. He has been pretty active in other aspects of the game as well which has led him to 3 straight 30+ FPTS performances. I think this is the game where he finally gets his shot rolling and falling at a better percentage than it has been. As long as he continues to shoot this is a solid play at this price in my opinion.
Small Forward
Danuel House Jr. ($5,000) vs Thunder– Another Rockets player I like tonight is Danuel House Jr.. He may not be the flashiest player but he is active on the glass with the Rockets small lineup and he has proven to be a knockdown shooter from the outside. House has gone 6/14 from behind the arc in the last 2 games and has scored over 30 FPTS in each of those games as well. As long as he is active on the glass he should give you a pretty solid return for someone who is priced at only $5,000 today.
Power Forward
Giannis Antetokounmpo ($11,100) vs Magic– The most expensive player by far in my lineup today will be Giannis. Giannis may not play 40+ minutes tonight given how the games in this series have gone but he has shown he can do big time damage in limited minutes. He has only played around 30 minutes per game in this series and has scored no less than 59 FPTS and has been a monster on the glass. He has the Magic’s number putting up 28.8 PPG 15.8 RPG and 7.0 APG in 6 games vs Orlando this season.
Center
Hassan Whiteside ($4,800) vs Lakers– With Jusuf Nurkic back in the picture for the Blazers we haven’t seen the dominate Hassan Whiteside that we saw earlier in the season but his price reflects that. He has gotten close to a double-double in each of the last 2 games and he has now found himself in the starting lineup. He hasn’t scored less than 20 FPTS in any game of this series and in my opinion it is only a matter of time before he has one of those breakout games he is known for having. He will always cause havoc on the defensive end with his blocked shots, but in this one I think he could get more shots falling off of offensive boards vs the Lakers bigs.
Sleeper Play
Alex Caruso ($3,700) vs Trail Blazers– Lastly I believe Alex Caruso offers a lot of value amongst the players in this range. He has played over 27 minutes in 2 of the 3 games of this series and although he isn’t shooting it very well, he has proven that he can put up some decent numbers in other areas. He finished game 3 with 10 points 7 assists and 4 rebounds and he is on the floor a lot when LeBron gets a breather. Rondo is not expected to play again in this game so it will be Caruso’s job to man the 2nd unit and make some things happen vs an underwhelming Trail Blazers defense.
