Point Guard
Goran Dragic ($6,600) vs Bucks– Dragic has looked revitalized since the playoffs began and has this Heat team rolling. In the last 3 games Dragic is averaging 22.3 PPG 5.0 APG and 3.3 RPG while shooting a very solid 48% from the field and 40% from behind the arc. He has taken most of the playing time from Kendrick Nunn and it has been a successful move thus far. With no games of under 30 FPTS since August 1st I think we are getting a great deal on Dragic here, who averaged 20 PPPG 6 APG 5 RPG in 2 games vs the Bucks, in a slate that only features 2 games.
Shooting Guard
Tyler Herro ($5,500) vs Bucks– Another Heat player I like is Tyler Herro, who has also started to play very well in the bubble. In his last 3 games he is averaging 17 PPG 4.3 RPG and 2.7 APG and as we all know he is a very good shooter from behind the arc. He has averaged around the same amount in 2 games vs the Bucks this season and I see no reason why this shouldn’t continue. Herro has seen the ball a lot more lately as he has been asked to serve as a ball handling guard in recent games as well. All in all I think $5,500 is a solid price to pay for Herro with his upside.
Small Forward
Danuel House Jr. ($5,100) vs Thunder– A guy who I will always continue to go to is Danuel House Jr. of the Houston Rockets. He had his worst game of the series on Saturday but that isn’t going to take me away from him. He is still averaging over 30 FPPG in his last 4 games and continues to put up double digit shots per game, most of them coming from behind the arc. He is also still rebounding it well so with his price staying at this amount he will once again be on my roster against the Thunder tonight.
Power Forward
Robert Covington ($5,800) vs Thunder– Another Rockets player I have in my lineup is SF/PF Robert Covington, who showed out in Saturday’s game with 22 PTS 7 REB and 3 STL. Covington has started to get his 3 point shot going, 10/19 in the last 2 games, which is very encouraging and makes his value go up even more in this spot. There is some risk involved due to his inconsistencies, but the way he is able to rack up steals along with rebounding is very encouraging. If Covington continues to shoot the ball well I don’t see why he would exceed value here.
Center
Bam Adebayo ($7,700) vs Bucks– The most expensive player on my roster tonight is Heat big man Bam Adebayo. Adebayo does a little bit of everything and in 3 games vs the Bucks this season he has averaged almost 40 FPPG. Bam has been a beast so far in the playoffs, most notably his 14 PTS 19 REB and 6 AST game vs the Pacers to close out the series. His price still seems suspiciously low for me here given all that he does and there only being 2 games on the slate but that won’t affect my decision and he will be on my roster this evening.
Sleeper Play
Darius Bazley ($3,800) vs Rockets– Lastly to close out my picks I have Thunder big man Darius Bazley. The Thunder have really needed some other scoring options and they went to Bazley for over 25 minutes on Saturday night and he stepped up. OKC got blown out but Bazley was able to pick up 10 PTS and 12 REB and was letting it fly from behind the arc. He showed at times in the seeding games that he can be a real threat on the offensive end. Because of this I am taking a chance here that the Thunder will give him some more time in their search for offense vs a high scoring Rockets team.
