FanDuel‘s single game slate offers up a unique way to play still in the NBA playoffs. There are rules to this one. Your MVP spot gets you 2x points. Your Star spot gets 1.5x points, and the Pro spot gets 1.2x points. The rest of the utility picks get 1x like normal. There are a total of five spots to fill between tonight’s game.
MVP
Draymond Green ($13,500) – Rolling with a similar lineup from game 5, although you can mix and match with the MVP front runners. Draymond Green continues to flirt triple doubles over the last few games, and when the defensive stats come his fantasy production can be huge. There won’t be much at the center position for Green, as DeMarcus Cousins will come back into the lineup. Green will matchup mostly against Pascal Siakam, which has been a favorable matchup at times this series. The assist rate is over 25% for Green. He isn’t the highest usage guy or will jack up 20 shots, but Green’s all around production gives him a solid floor. If Golden State can shoot like last game, Green’s assists will be through the roof.
Star
Klay Thompson ($11,500) – Much of these prices didn’t budge for Game 6, and Klay Thompson was one of them. His shooting has been red hot, especially from three. We know the backcourt usage is going to be high, and Thompson has been the most clutch warrior when the team is against the wall. At an $11,500 price tag, he can pay this off favorably. Even with Thompson exerting energy defending Kawhi Leonard at times, it hasn’t taken anything away from his production on the other end. Thompson has seen a mix of defenders, and he has been successful against most of them. We can go back to the well here and take Thompson for a discounted
Pro & Utility
Marc Gasol ($10,000) – Was high on Marc Gasol last game, and he produced a strong game. Gasol continues to shoot well from the field, and has the advantage in the rebounding department against this front court. With DeMaecus Cousins out there for 20-25 minutes, Gasol gets the easy defense and can me him chase. We have seen this at times during the season. A potential 17 and 8 game with some defensive stats is always in his range of outcomes, and for $10,000 that is a nice outcome. His usage has been sneaky strong for fantasy production this season.
Fred VanVleet ($10,000) – It wasn’t a great game for Fred VanVleet last time out, as defensively he wasn’t as strong. He still played 27 minutes and got his shots up. VanVleet has been the best bench player for Toronto, who plays close to 30 minutes most nights. His production somewhat depends on the shooting of other Raptors. Mainly because he served a primary ballhandler at times, but will take his shots. His TS% has been respectable over this series, and we have seen a few steals games that he racked up. His price has dropped five hundred, and he continues to be one of the better values.
