NBA FanDuel DFS Lineup Picks 6/5/19
Contents
FanDuel‘s single game slate offers up a unique way to play still in the NBA playoffs. There are rules to this one. Your MVP spot gets you 2x points. Your Star spot gets 1.5x points, and the Pro spot gets 1.2x points. The rest of the utility picks get 1x like normal. There are a total of five spots to fill between tonight’s game.
MVP
Stephen Curry ($16,500) – Stephen Curry is one of the more expensive options, and is back at home tonight. He has been the second highest usage player in this series, and has a 28% usage overall. Curry is going to see the defense of Danny Green and Fred VanVleet again, and despite making it tough on him, Curry still puts up strong fantasy numbers. The Warriors are slight home favorites, and have a 108 implied total. Of course this is down from their season norm, but the starters are playing 40 minutes a night to make up for that. I expect the offense to flow through Green again, which doesn’t hurt Curry’s production. He presents one of the stronger upsides among both teams, especially if he can notch a few steals like last game.
Star
Draymond Green ($13,000) – Draymond Green was one assist short of a triple-double last game, and his last game where he didn’t notch at least ten rebounds was Game 1 of the Houston series where he had nine. His assist rate is the highest in the series, and while he is going to have 4-5 turnovers most nights, he still brings one of the best floors to the table. You can make the case for him in the MVP spot, and even the MVP of this series if Golden State goes onto win. I find him to be pretty cheap compared to his production, and there are values to fit him and one more stud into the lineup. Green saw a few different defenders, and was able to get the job done against each.
Pro & Utility
DeMarcus Cousins ($9,000) – We likely only have one game left of DeMarcus Cousins at this price, who had a massive jump in minutes for Game 2. He played 27 minutes, and produced an 11-10-6 line with two blocks. His usage was strong, and he is going to be a popular bargain play tonight. Cousins is tied for being the second lowest priced starter, outside of Andre Iguodala. We can also look at all these Warriors options and give them a bump if Klay Thompson sits out tonight, but I think he plays. With Looney also out, we might see Cousins cross the 30 minute mark. With the rest in between games, Cousins should be fine.
Fred VanVleet ($8,500) – Fred VanVleet is going to be a strong value once again. He played big minutes last game, but mainly because of the struggling Danny Green and foul-troubled Kyle Lowry. He has played 30+ minutes in four straight games, and has scored 31, 18, 17, and 26 fantasy points. His production doesn’t always match his fantasy outcome, but he has been a double-digit scorer in five straight, and needs steals to produce a strong upside.
