Instead, the Dallas Mavericks snagged Flagg after an unforeseen turn of events in the NBA draft lottery. Dallas, which had never won the lottery before, will build around another star after it stunningly traded Luka Dončić to the Los Angeles Lakers in early February.

Alongside Kris Middleton and CJ McCollum in the nation’s capital, Johnson should have the freedom to hoist up his fair share of looks.
For any longshot to contend, Flagg must struggle mightily. While I find this scenario unlikely, I fancy Johnson’s odds and upside the most.
