New England Patriots vs. Cleveland Browns Player Prop Picks
The New England Patriots visit the Cleveland Browns in Week 6 of the 2022-23 NFL Season. The Patriots beat the Lions last week by winning in a shutout, while the Browns lost in heartbreaking fashion to the Chargers at the end of the game. This sets up to be an interesting matchup in Cleveland. Let’s take a look at some player prop bets that make the most sense for this game on Sunday.
Nick Chubb Over 96.5 Rushing Yards
At first glance, this number seems very high, but Chubb has been very consistent running the ball this year. He’s hit over 100 yards rushing in every game except one. Chubb has 98 carries, 593 rushing yards, and seven rushing touchdowns on the year. With that many carries, he should get a lot of yards in general just do to how much the offense revolves around him in the running game. He’s been the offensive focus for the Browns due to Deshaun Watson being suspended, and their quarterback now being Jacoby Brissett. The Patriots are also giving up an average of 129 rushing yards a game, so far this season, while Cleveland averages 192 rushing yards. With all that in mind, while the number seems high, take Chubb to get the over here because the running game for Cleveland is just that strong. Chubb has potential to be the NFL’s leading rusher this year too.
Rhamondre Stevenson Over 57.5 Rushing Yards
I love this over because New England has focused a lot on the run ever since Mac Jones went down with an injury. The Patriots have always been a good running team, even with Tom Brady, but now the offense actually needs the running game. Bailey Zappe has been thrust into the starting quarterback job due to Brian Hoyer getting injured on top of Mac Jones too. Zappe has fared well but he’s also just a rookie and the Patriots haven’t asked him to do much. Rhamondre Stevenson is the starting running back now for the Patriots since Damien Harris got injured. He just had a very good game against the Lions, and I expect the him to build off that game even more. He has 68 carries, 372 rushing yards, and one rushing touchdown so far this year. Cleveland gives up 138 rushing yards a game, so Stevenson has a chance to have a very good game here. Take this bet here, there’s a lot of value for it.
Jacoby Brissett Over 1.5 Passing Touchdowns
The biggest thing here is the fact that the Cleveland running game is just that good with both Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt. He’s only had two touchdown passes in a game once this year, but this bet seems like a very good one to make still. That running game keeps defenses honest enough and should help Brissett get the over here. On the year so far, he has 1,060 passing yards and five touchdowns and three interceptions. He also has a 64% completion percentage. Take this bet here, Brissett has been solid in Deshaun Watson’s place, and I like this bet, even though NeW England does have a decent defense.
