New Orleans Saints vs. Tennessee Titans Player Props (11/14/21)

The New Orleans Saints are in a tough position right now, with a backup QB at the helm after the loss of starter Jameis Winston to a knee injury. Trevor Siemian is at the helm now, and he’s 0-1 as a starter with the team after dropping his first game against the Atlanta Falcons. The Tennessee Titans didn’t miss a beat without star running back Derrick Henry last Sunday, dominating the Los Angeles Rams in a 28-16 rout. Now, they’ve got to keep things rolling with the opportunity for the No. 1 seed in the AFC. The Saints and Titans square off this Sunday, so let’s check out some of the best player props.

Ryan Tannehill Under 241.5 Passing Yards

I’m sure plenty of bettors hammered the over for Tannehill’s passing yards as soon as they heard Derick Henry was injured. Well, that wasn’t exactly the case. The quarterback only had 143 yards against the New Orleans Saints, yet the team still cruised to a 28-16 win. They’ve shown before they don’t need Tannehill to chuck it every down to win, and I’m expecting that strategy to continue this week. Roll with Tannehill to go under his total as the Titans continue to navigate life without their uber-talented running back.

Geoff Swaim Over 1.5 Receptions

While Tannehill might not rack up tons of yards this week, I’m liking the connection he’s forging with tight end Geoff Swaim. Swaim has hauled in eight catches the past two weeks, and it looks like they’re starting to incorporate Swaim into the game plan more often. He’s also found the end zone in two straight weeks, another prop that I would take a look at. But, most importantly, he’ll have more than one catch this Sunday.

A.J. Brown Under 78.5 Receiving Yards

When A.J. Brown is on, watch out. The receiver has been explosive at times, as seen with his 155-yard performance against the Indianapolis Colts and his 133-yard game against the Kansas City Chiefs. However, he’s also been totally shut down at times, with five games with 50 yards or fewer this season. That kind of inconsistency makes me wary as a bettor, and I’m not so quick to jump on his over because of a few flashy games. Until I see more consistent performances from the receiver, I’m hitting the under.

Juwan Johnson First TD

Here’s one bet that I think is just plain fun. Juwan Johnson has found the end zone three times this season, twice in the first game. The team hasn’t been utilizing him nearly enough, as he’s only gotten one target in three straight games. However, with a shaky QB situation, I expect the Saints to focus on their tight end a bit more. Johnson is listed at +9000 to score the first touchdown on DraftKings, and that’s some major value. Do I fully expect this to hit? No comment. Am I going to wager on it and cross my fingers during the game? You bet.
