New Partnership Has BetMGM Sportsbook Collaborating On NBC Sports Content

betmgm sportsbook apple icon 150x150The BetMGM Sportsbook partnership with NBC Sports is big news for the online sportsbook, which replaces PoinsBet as the official betting partner of Sunday Night Football. Well, it appears as though the partnership goes a bit deeper than just advertising for the popular betting site from MGM Resorts International.

In fact, BetMGM will be featured in content for NBC, including for one of the most popular sports shows on the network. Let’s take a deeper look at the BetMGM partnership with NBC Sports and some other deals that the online sportsbook has made.

BetMGM & Football Night in America Team Up

Football Night in America is one of the top shows not just in the world of sports, but on television in general. FNIA saw a shakeup this year, with Maria Taylor replacing former host Mike Tirico, who is now announcing for Sunday Night Football with Chris Collinsworth. The show features a segment from fantasy sports personality Matthew Berry and former NFL QB Chris Simms that will feature BetMGM Sportsbook odds. Additionally, BetMGM betting lines will be featured on the Football Night in America sports scroll ticker.

Another NBC Sports show, Sunday Night Football Final on Peacock, will integrate BetMGM Sportsbook odds as the program wraps up the SNF action. BetMGM Sportsbook will also have similar collaborations with other programs such as the Chris Simms Unbuttoned podcast, Fantasy Football Pregame with Michael Berry, and Fantasy Football Happy Hour with Matthew Berry.

BetMGM Looking To Gain Ground Against Other Sportsbooks

With the start of the NFL season, one of the busiest times of year for sports betting, it’s no surprise that BetMGM is being more aggressive in its partnership strategy by collaborating on so much NBC Sports content. There is some stiff competition in states with legal sports betting, with DraftKings Sportsbook, Caesars Sportsbook, FanDuel Sportsbook, and BetRivers Sportsbook being some of the most popular sportsbooks. There’s also PointsBet Sportsbook, the former main sponsor of SNF that still remains active with Peacock, the streaming service from NBC.

According to a poll from Morning Consult in January, DraftKings and FanDuel remain the top options for sports bettors in terms of usage, followed by Caesars Sportsbook. BetMGM Sportsbook, on the other hand, tied for fourth in the poll with Fox Bet Sportsbook. Moves such as the NBC deal shuld help BetMGM continue to grow in an increasingly competitive sports betting industry.

Other BetMGM Partnerships

The NBC Sports partnership is a big one for BetMGM Sportsbook, but that’s far from the only deal the online sportsbook has struck. Plenty of professional teams have also made deals with BetMGM throughout the MLB and NFL. In the MLB, BetMGM Sportsbook has established partnerships with the Pittsburgh Pirates, Cincinnati Reds, Houston Astros, and Boston Red Sox, among a few others. The partnerships with the Astros and Red Sox are particularly interesting, as neither team plays in an area that currently offers legal sports betting.

BetMGM has also made numerous NFL deals with teams like the Detroit Lions, Kansas City Chiefs, Arizona Cardinals, and Denver Broncos. The deal with the Cardinals also included a retail sportsbook at State Farm Stadium. The sportsbook also has a NASCAR deal with a current partnership with Richard Childress Racing.
