NFL Draft Odds For Day 2

Day One Betting Recap
Day One of the NFL Draft is behind us, and we saw some expected and not-so-expected picks. The #3 overall selection that the 49ers had was the most bet on prop-bet, according to BetMGM. That pick was ultimatelyTrey Lance, who reached -140 at his peak when it came to odds last night. However, Trey Lance was not always the favorite, as there were times where his odds ranged between +300 and +500.
Another notable bet, according to BetMGM, was Fields going to the Bears. The odds opened +1,600 and closed at +900. Only 7% of tickets regarding Justin Fields’ landing spot had him going to Chicago. It is also worth noting that his over/under on draft position started at 4.5 and moved to 7.5. Fields would not be selected until 11th overall, crushing the over.
Day Two Noteable Odds
Looking at DraftKings Sportsbook, there is a ton of activity on the 34th overall pick. This is a pick that currently belongs to the New York Jets. Currently, the three favorites are Teven Jenkins, Javonte Williams, and Asante Samuel Jr. So, the consensus best OT, RB, and CB left in the draft. All of these selections make sense for the Jets, in my opinion. However, what has been interesting is watching the odds flip-flop all day. As of writing this in the morning, Jenkins sits at +200, Williams at +250, and Samuel Jr. at +400. I am sure that the odds will continue to move as the night goes on. The Jets really cannot go wrong, but the question is, who are they going to target?
The last three quarterbacks with some possible future starting value that still remain on the board are Kyle Trask, Kellen Mond, and Davis Mills. However, only one of those, Mills, has his odds favorited to go in round 2 at +100. His round 3 odds are at +175. For Kyle Trask, his round 2 odds are +175, and round 3 odds +125. Finally, Mond sits at +175 for round 3 and +300 for round 2.
The quarterbacks will be a thing to watch as the greatness of this class may be the thing pushing these three QBs down. All three of them have their own issues and problems to sort out at the next level. However, all three of them 100% have a ceiling that far surpasses a starting-level NFL QB. Many would argue any one of Mills, Trask, or Mond would be a steal in round 3 for a team like Washington Football Team that does not need a starter for Week 1.
I also found the Falcons’ odds on who the next player that they will draft to be quite intriguing. Currently, the team sits at +125 for offense and -159 for defense. While this makes sense, I do think I would actually favor the offense. It is clear that the defense is not as good, but there simply is more offensive talent left in the draft, and there are players to fill holes on the Falcons’ offense. The team needs an offensive lineman and an RB. There is tons of offensive line value left and one excellent running back in Javonte Williams.
