NFL Super Bowl Odds: Los Angeles Teams Up After Huge Week 3 Wins

As we power through the NFL season, it’s always interesting to track how Super Bowl odds are shifting based on the most recent results. Odds are constantly changing, which presents some exciting opportunities to buy low on specific teams. Several teams earned big wins in Week 3 and saw their Super Bowl odds change significantly. Let’s take a look at some of the most significant changes following Week 3.

Week 3 Big Winners

The Chargers had the biggest upset win of the season so far as they knocked off the reigning AFC Champion Kansas City Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium. In that game, Los Angeles were 7-point underdogs, and Vegas saw it as a significant boost to their Super Bowl chances as they moved from +2800 on most sportsbooks to +2000 and even +1600 on some platforms. If you grabbed the Chargers at +2800, kudos to you because I think they are legitimate contenders even in a loaded division. The Chargers are 4-point home favorites over the Raiders in Week 4.

The Rams also saw their Super Bowl odds shift from +1200 to +800 following a 34-24 home win over the reigning Super Bowl Champion Buccaneers. This season, Los Angeles is now 2-1 ATS and is favored by six points against a fellow 3-0 team in Arizona in Week 4. Matthew Stafford is currently second in the NFL in passing touchdowns and passer rating, while Cooper Kupp leads the NFL in every receiving stat.

The Titans also saw their Super Bowl odds shift after taking care of business at home and sending the Colts to a 2-1 record. After an embarrassing 38-13 loss to the Cardinals, Tennessee’s Super Bowl odds shifted to +3000 in some places. However, they have remedied their position following two wins and are now +2000 to win the Super Bowl. The Titans are big 7.5-point favorites over the Jets in Week 4.

Week 3 Big Losers

Both of the teams who made the Super Bowl last season suffered defeats in Week 3, and both saw their championship odds decrease slightly. For the first time all season, the Chiefs are not the unanimous Super Bowl favorite as they dropped to 1-2 on the year. The Buccaneers are listed as the favorite on some books despite a defeat of their own to the Rams.

Week 4 Opportunities

A few big games on the slate for Week 4 could impact specific teams’ Super Bowl odds. The Cardinals are now +2100 to win the Super Bowl after starting the year at around +4000. Their championship odds will surely skyrocket if they earn a big upset win against the Rams this week. The Seahawks and 49ers also face off this week in a game with significant playoff implications. At 1-2 on the season, Seattle now has just +3000 odds to win the Super Bowl, the lowest in the NFC West. San Francisco, meanwhile, has +1400 odds to win the Super Bowl despite their loss to the Packers in Week 3; they were around +1000 entering that game. No matter how the NFC West matchups turn out this week, there will be significant fallout in terms of Super Bowl odds.
