Early NFL Week 10 Bets To Place
We’re at about the halfway point of the season as Week 9 action gets underway, and it’s not too early to start thinking about Week 10 bets. Let’s take a look at which bets you might want to lock in before this week’s action moves some of the lines.
Kansas City Chiefs (-9.5) vs. Jacksonville Jaguars
The Chiefs are favored by more than 12 points against the Titans this Sunday, largely due to the uncertainty surrounding Ryan Tannehill’s status, but they’re only favored by single-digits against the Jaguars in Week 10 at this point. That could change after this weekend’s action.
An impressive showing against the Titans’ defense and running game would only boost Kansas City, and the Jaguars could continue to lose steam against the Raiders on Sunday. Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs in Arrowhead Stadium should handle the Jaguars pretty easily. Anything less than Chiefs by double-digits is a nice value.
Dallas Cowboys (-3) vs. Green Bay Packers
So far this season, the Packers just don’t look intimidating in any form – not even at Lambeau Field. If we see Green Bay struggle in Detroit against the 1-6 Lions this week, even if it results in a win, we could see this Week 10 line move further in the direction of the Cowboys as bettors continue to lose faith in the Packers.
Dallas is 6-1 since Week 2, with a slew of convincing wins and their only loss coming against the undefeated Eagles. Dak Prescott’s return has also helped restore faith in the Cowboys. Dallas doesn’t play this week, but the Packers do. It feels like it’s going to take a huge performance in Detroit for this line to move back toward the Packers.
Cleveland Browns (+5.5) vs. Miami Dolphins
The Dolphins haven’t lost since Tua Tagovailoa returned, but both wins were closer than they probably should’ve been against bad teams. I’m still somewhat skeptical of Miami, especially given the defensive lapses against the Lions. What if the Bears make life difficult for them in Chicago? The Bears have torn down some key pieces of their defense but have managed to find an offensive game plan that works for them in recent weeks.
Bettors may have some newfound confidence in the Browns after their dominant win over the Bengals and help narrow this line. Browns +5.5 is a solid value if you truly believe their defense has turned a corner.
Seattle Seahawks Moneyline (+120) vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
The Seahawks have been undervalued week after week. While this early line indicates they’re starting to close the gap, there’s still some room for movement if Week 9 reinforces what we’ve seen from either of these teams.
Seattle has a chance to beat the Cardinals in Arizona and complete a season sweep of their NFC West counterpart. One more week of the Seahawks winning – and one more week of Geno Smith thriving – would continue to quiet any doubters still out there.
On the other hand, if we see the Buccaneers play with the same lack of energy we’ve seen all season and lose at home to the Rams, it’ll be obvious that they can lose to the Seahawks as well. Seahawks (+120) or Seahawks +2.5 are both solid values at this point.
