NFL Week 4 Chargers vs. Texans Same Game Parlay Strategy (10/2/22)

Things are falling apart for the Chargers a bit at the moment as the injuries are piling up, and they’re a difficult team to figure out as they sit at 1-2. Heading into a matchup against a Texans team that upset them last season, they should be on red alert in a must-win situation. While taking a side on the spread or the over/under could be interesting here, this article will focus on building a Same Game Parlay (SGP) from this game on Sunday.

NFL Week 4 Chargers vs. Texans Same Game Parlay

While Justin Herbert is still dealing with an injury, he should have a more successful game this week against the Texans. Houston ranks ninth in pass defense DVOA, but they still employ a young and inexperienced secondary and they’ve faced the easiest defensive strength of schedule thus far. I love this game for Mike Williams with Keenan Allen out.

I’ll take the over for Williams on his set line of 59.5 receiving yards at +105 odds. He’s hit that number just once this season, but he had 113 yards in that game, and he’s been a boom-or-bust receiver throughout his career. I’m also taking the +115 odds on Williams to score a touchdown, as he’s a dominant contested-catch receiver who excels in the red zone.

On the Texans’ side, this could be a great game for Brandin Cooks. He struggled against Patrick Surtain and Jaylon Johnson over the last two weeks, two of the better cornerbacks in the league, but he should have more success against a banged up J.C. Jackson. Cooks is still the #1 target in the offense, and I’ll happily take him to go over 69.5 yards at +115 odds.

To wrap things up, I’m adding the Chargers Moneyline to this SGP. I bet the Texans at +6.5 earlier in the week, but I still expect Los Angeles to win this game – they have to. They are still the much more talented team, and Justin Herbert should be healthier than he was last week. While they aren’t playing like the Super Bowl contender we expected, this is a must-win game to keep their playoff aspirations alive.

With our Chargers ML, Mike Williams, and Brandin Cooks props put together, you’re looking at an intriguing SGP for Sunday:

  • Los Angeles Chargers Moneyline (-250)
  • Mike Williams Over 59.5 Receiving Yards (+105)
  • Mike Williams Anytime Touchdown Scorer (+115)
  • Brandin Cooks Over 69.5 Receiving Yards (+115)

Full SGP Odds: +675 ($10 wins $67.50)

NFL Week 4 Chargers vs. Texans Same Game Parlay Bankroll Builder

We’re also taking a look at some bankroll builder options for this game. Here, we’re looking to combine low-odds props to get back to even money. I’m going to keep this one extremely simple, and there’s a two-leg bankroll builder that looks enticing. If you believe the Chargers are going to win this game, then Justin Herbert will need to be the driving force.

Even as Herbert played through his injury last week, he finished with 297 passing yards, and he’s thrown for over 230 yards in eleven straight games. You can get Herbert over 229.5 passing yards at -290 odds, and you can combine it with the Chargers ML to get back to even money.

Full Bankroll Builder on FanDuel:

  • Los Angeles Chargers Moneyline (-250)
  • Justin Herbert Over 229.5 Passing Yards (-290)

Full Bankroll Builder Odds: -115 ($11.50 wins $10)
