NFL Week 5 Betting Trends: Rams, Cowboys, Titans, Cardinals Seek Continued Success in Divisional Matchups

Week 5 of the NFL season is the last for a while with a full slate of games, and we’re excited about all 16 games this week. This weekly article dives into betting trends around the NFL so far, as well as trends for the upcoming slate of games to help you make more educated bets. Let’s dive in.

Interesting Trends So Far

Last week, I wrote about how home favorites had continued to struggle to cover the spread. That trend continued in Week 4 as home favorites went just 5-6 ATS for the second straight week to bring their record to 15-25 ATS on the year. Overall, away teams are 33-31 straight up and 36-28 ATS this season. The wild success for underdogs early in the year has balanced out somewhat, but dogs still went 8-8 ATS in Week 4 to bring them to 38-26 on the year. The under has crushed so far this season with a 37-27 record – that’s a 57.8% success rate on betting unders. Don’t chase that trend too heavily, but keep it in mind entering Week 5.
