Apple Causing Problems For Online PA Sportsbooks and Casinos
Those with an iPhone or an iPad in Pennsylvania know that they still can’t download the PlaySugarHouse app. It’s not a matter of any legal issues, but instead an issue with Apple itself. Originally thought that it was due to a violation of the “Minimum Functionality” section in the App Store Review Guidelines, it turns out, there may be more to the story.
On Monday, June 3, Apple released an update to its guidelines that addressed real-money gaming directly. “HTML5 games distributed in apps may not provide access to real money gaming, lotteries, or charitable donations, and may not support digital commerce.” This rule is in effect immediately for all new and existing apps. Existing apps have until September to comply or they will be removed from the App Store.

NH Lottery Scores Big Win That Could Help PA
On Monday, June 3, the New Hampshire District Court vacated the new Department of Justice’s opinion on the Federal Wire Act. Back in December of 2018, the DOJ claimed that the Federal Wire Act didn’t apply to only sports betting, but all forms of online gambling as well (online poker, casinos, and lottery games). This would have effectively made it illegal for multi-state lotteries as well as other forms of gambling to operate between states.
Thanks to the NH State Lottery, whose suit got the opinion overturned, Pennsylvania now has the opportunity to get into the existing online poker compact with New Jersey, Nevada, and Delaware. Online casinos and poker rooms in the state can move forward without the fear of being shut down by the DOJ.

Women’s World Cup
Germany vs China Saturday 9:00 AM EST
The women’s German team is the second-ranked team in the world, China 16th. Germany has gone back and forth with the USA team as the number one and two ranked teams in the world since 2003. China’s team is on the decline over recent years. In their past five meetings, Germany is outscoring China 10-0. Germany is a -345 favorite and is all but a lock to win. However, the odds just aren’t that great.
One bet in this game that does provide a lot of value, the O/U. The total is currently set a 2.5. In four of those last five meetings between these two, the total has been two or less. Being that it is the World Cup, China will come out with some added adrenaline matching up against a powerhouse like Germany. Look for this to be a defensive game and go under the 2.5 total goals mark. At plus money, the under provides great value as well.

Chapel Hill Super Regional: Auburn vs North Carolina(-157) Saturday 12:00 PM EST
The North Carolina Tar Heels baseball team is the 12th ranked team in the country and is hosting this Super Regional. They have one of the best all-around hitters in the ACC in Aaron Sabato (.341 AVG, 1.129 OPS, and 16 HRs). The Tar Heels should be able to handle the Auburn Tigers in this one and -157 odds are pretty good in this situation.
Henry Cejudo(+115) vs Marlon Moraes (-139) Sunday 1:00 AM EST (Approx)
Cejudo and Moraes meet for the vacant bantamweight championship at UFC 238 in Chicago on Saturday night. Cejudo is coming off of his 32-second knockout win over then-bantamweight champion TJ Dillashaw. Moraes has a lot of power for his size, but Cejudo’s power shouldn’t be underestimated either. If Cejudo can avoid the big knockout punch from Moraes, look for him to get the win. At plus money, Cejudo is a good pick with great value.
