PGA Championship Odds, Picks, Predictions: Full Betting Card & Best Bets
Golf‘s second major is here, with the PGA Championship at Quail Hollow Club next on tap in Charlotte, N.C., beginning Thursday. Scottie Scheffler, Rory McIlroy, and Bryson DeChambeau headline the PGA Championship odds board this week, as John Haslbauer provides his favorite picks among all the golf odds for this tourney. Below, you’ll find the best odds across the best sports betting sites for each player.
We are one sleep away from the second major of the year. My PGA Championship bets are officially all locked in for Quail Hollow Club.
With another long, water-logged course in store, you can’t help but feel like we’re about to see Valhalla 2.0 in Charlotte this week. If that is the case, this event may prove to be a one-dimensional test in which the most skilled all-around players with the longest carry distance off the tee prove to separate over the course of the next four days.
Ahead, we’ll get into my full betting card and final thoughts for the 2025 PGA Championship. Click anywhere in this article to bet on PGA Championship odds.

How I Built My PGA Championship Betting Card
At most any major championship, you need to be long and accurate off the tee, elite with long iron approaches, and highly dependable from around the green. In the simplest terms, that continues to be the formula needed at Quail Hollow, so I expect we’ll see the same usual suspects who have found success in difficult scoring conditions and recent majors rise to the top of the leaderboard this week. From a weather standpoint, soft conditions should only further accentuate the importance of driving distance, which factored into my final betting card decisions.
In terms of unit allocations for my card this week, we are upping the stakes just a bit to match the high-stakes atmosphere of the second major of the year for my PGA Championship bets.
- Outrights: 6 Units (U) to pay 30U
- FRL: 1U to pay out 15U+ each
- Props: 3U to pay out 4U+ each

PGA Championship Bets: Outright Odds (6U)
Rory McIlroy
My Bet: +500
Best Available Odds:
I wrote extensively in my tournament preview about every single reason I believe Rory is primed to keep the pedal down on his Player of the Year campaign. It takes so many factors to get me on board with betting a player with odds this short, but I’ve come to the conclusion that if you’re convinced a player is going to win, you just go ahead and bet him regardless of the number.
We haven’t seen a “free” Rory McIlroy in a major since 2014, and it’s scary to think about what his ceiling could be without him holding himself back. I could not think of one singular venue better suited for Rory to visit in his first major start since achieving the career grand slam than Quail Hollow, where he has no scar tissue and four prior wins under his belt.
PGA Championship First-Round Leader Bets (1.5U)
Min Woo Lee
My Bet: +7000
Best Available Odds:
Distance leads to scoring opportunities at Quail Hollow, so I’m starting my FRL with one of the longest hitters in this field. Min Woo showed his full potential on a long, driver-heavy setup when winning the Texas Children’s Houston Open earlier this season.
Keith Mitchell
My Bet: +8000
Best Available Odds:
“He can’t keep getting away with this” is the thought process that talked me out of betting Keith Mitchell FRL last week. We are watching a historic run of Thursday performances at this point, as Mitchell has been the first-round leader three times over his last five starts. In the two instances where he was not the first-round leader over that span, Mitchell was in 2nd after round 1. He’ll now go to a course where he has a great history with two top-10s over his last three appearances at Quail Hollow.
Sergio Garcia
My Bet: +9000
Best Available Odds:
A veteran bomber who knows how to get off to a hot start in majors, Sergio is one of my favorite values on the board this week. He’s fallen out of form over the last month, but is only four starts removed from back-to-back top-5 finishes on LIV. Quail Hollow is a comfort course for Garcia, ranking No. 7 in the field in total strokes gained at this venue.
Aaron Rai
My Bet: +9000
Best Available Odds:
A glaring outlier compared to the other bombers on my FRL card this week, Rai’s run of Thursday dominance has always been course-fit-proof, so I’m not afraid to back him up against this 7,626-yard behemoth.
Cameron Young
My Bet: +10000
Best Available Odds:
I’m not signing myself up for the roller coaster experience of sweating Cameron Young for all four days this week, but it’s hard to deny his path to pacing the field as first-round leader as he’s done previously in majors at the 2022 Open Championship. Young has the distance to attack Quail Hollow and enters with good momentum after a T7 finish at the Truist Championship last week.
Byeong Hun An
My Bet: +10000
Best Available Odds:
I love An’s combination of recent form, comp course history, and course fit for Quail Hollow. It’s just a little tough for me to actually picture him contending down the stretch at a Major, so I’m hedging a bit here to get exposure before the pressure really sets in.
PGA Championship Props (2.3U)
Top European: Rory McIlroy
My Bet: +190
Best Available Odds:
When we get to a modern Tom Fazio major setup like this, the list of players who can actually contend dwindles down significantly, as it requires a specific archetype of player with all-around form and elite driving distance to survive for four days. When I look at Rory’s competition this week, all of his greatest threats seem to be Americans, as Scottie Scheffler, Bryson DeChambeau, Xander Schauffele, and Justin Thomas (in that order) are the biggest obstacles standing in McIlroy’s way. The top Europeans either enter in questionable form (Hovland, Aberg, Rahm) or lack the sheer power needed to score at Quail Hollow (Fleetwood, Hatton).
Top-20 Finish: Sergio Garcia
My Bet: +450
Best Available Odds:
The one player I continue to be higher than the market on this week is Sergio Garcia. I expect him to arrive at Quail Hollow feeling comfortable with four prior top-15 finishes here. He’ll have much to prove with a bid for the European Ryder Cup team on the line, as few other courses this year will simulate Bethpage Black better than Quail Hollow.
Top-40 Finisher: Phil Mickelson
My Bet: +250
Best Available Odds:
Rory McIlroy leads the way by a considerable margin in terms of course history at Quail Hollow, but 2nd in total strokes gained at this course is none other than Phil Mickelson. Mickelson has posted 13 career top-12 finishes at this venue, which passes the eye test considering his long-standing combination of driving distance and masterful short game. The 2021 PGA Champion is in solid form again with four top-22 finishes over his last six starts.
One & Done (OAD)
My Pick: Bryson DeChambeau
Unfortunately, at this point in the One-And-Done season, I do not have Rory McIlroy available, or else this would have been a very simple choice. Instead, I’ve followed the herd mentality and taken DeChambeau, who may, in all likelihood, shatter ownership records at the 2025 PGA Championship. There are just so few players who I believe can win this event, and Bryson is simply the best player of that group I have available to play.
If not DeChambeau, I would also consider Rory McIlroy, Xander Schauffele, or Ludvig Aberg as OAD picks.
