Philadelphia Eagles vs. Washington Commanders Player Prop Picks
The Philadelphia Eagles visit the Washington Commanders in Week 3 of the 2022-23 NFL Season. The Eagles swept the season series last year with scores of 27-17 and 20-16. The Eagles are undefeated so far on the year, while the Commanders are coming off a loss this past week. Whenever these teams play each other it’s an interesting matchup. Let’s take a look some player prop bets that make the most sense for this game on Sunday.
Jalen Hurts Over 1.5 Passing Touchdowns
Jalen Hurts has started out really strong for the year. This number though, might jump out because he only has one touchdown pass on the year so far as compared to three rushing touchdowns. The biggest reason why I like this bet is because Washington’s defense has not been great so far. Hurts has potential to torch the Commander defense and could throw at least two touchdown passes in the game too. This bet is more about not liking the Commanders pass defense, but Jalen Hurts has a really good opportunity to take advantage and have a breakout game passing-wise.
Carson Wentz Over 237.5 Passing Yards
This might come as a surprise of a bet, but I actually really like this bet in this game. Carson Wentz has actually played very well so far in Washington. He’s eclipsed this total pretty easily in the first two games of the year too. The Eagles defense has been very good to start the year though, and haven’t allowed a 300-yard passer yet. Wentz is the best quarterback they have played, so I really like this bet just based on that factor too. Wentz has a lot of talent still, despite being the butt of a lot of jokes. This will be a tough game because of how much the Eagles defense seems to have stepped up this year too. However, I still love this bet and think Wentz could hit the over and then some.
A.J. Brown Over 71.5 Receiving Yards
A.J. Brown was the crown jewel prize of the off-season, and the Eagles got him from Tennessee. He had an immediate connection with Jalen Hurts and is the go-to receiver for the Eagles. This total for him hit pretty easily in Week 1 and then he was three yards short of hitting it in Week 2. Look for the Eagles to get him involved early and often to get a rhythm going too because he’s too good of a receiver to keep waiting for passes. The Eagles, overall, have added a lot in the off-season, and have vaulted to the top of the NFL after two weeks. Jalen Hurts is the difference-maker too and has gotten the ball to Brown a lot so far. This bet jumps out as an easy bet to make because of Brown’s talent, but also the quarterback throwing him the ball has gotten him targets in spades so far on the year.
