PointsBet Casino Launches in New Jersey

New JerseyPointsBet Casino is launching in its second state. Following a successful first launch in Michigan, PointsBet is unveiling its casino to the biggest iGaming state in America, New Jersey. While the sportsbook has been available in New Jersey for quite a while now, the online casino will better help PointsBet compete with the other iGaming brands in the Garden State.

According to a PointsBet release regarding the matter, PointsBet CEO Sam Swanell said, “We are thrilled to be able to expand our iGaming presence in the United States and bring our proprietary online casino product to the robust New Jersey market.”

Also, according to the release, PointsBet projects that American iGaming in 2021 could reach a revenue of $3.5 billion. With numbers like this, it is no wonder that PointsBet is jumping on the casino train. PointsBet joins the big companies like BetMGM, DraftKings, FanDuel, and BetRivers in owning both an online sportsbook and an online casino platform.

PointsBet Casino

pointsbetappleicon-115x115PointsBet’s online casino platform debuted in Michigan, so we have a bit of an idea of how the platform looks. There is nothing particularly special about PointsBet’s casino besides the fact that it is nicely baked right into the sports betting app. This means that you do not need to go to a different platform just to play on the casino.

However, one issue that PointsBet might run into is the lack of games on its platform compared to other established online casinos. There are also currently no live-dealer games available on the Michigan platform. This may be something that PointsBet looks to change with its New Jersey casino platform. However, the company will need to move fast, and it will have to secure deals with game providers in order to make this happen.

Also, it is worth noting that this online casino does not include online poker. There are virtual poker games, but there is no peer-to-peer poker like Texas Hold’em on PointsBet’s platform at this moment in time. Both Michigan and New Jersey have legalized online poker, and it is in the cards for PointsBet to offer the service in the future.

PointsBet Company

PointsBet is actually an Australian brand that brought its sportsbook to America with the help and backing of NBC Sports. This partnership has been lucrative for both parties as PointsBet begins to capture more and more of the market. The sportsbook is world-renowned for its unique wagering style of Pointsbetting that it offers alongside traditional odds. This form of wagering is exceptionally high-risk, high-reward as your stake is multiplied basically in or out of the money.

The sportsbook continues to make sure it is one of the first to enter each new market that becomes available in the United States. Now, PointsBet can also focus on getting its online casino launched in as many places as possible.
