PointsBet Partners with the Chicago Bears and Indianapolis Colts

Over the past three days, PointsBet has formed partnerships with the Chicago Bears and Indianapolis Colts. Under the partnership, the sports betting platform will be the official sports betting partner of the Bears and Colts. The deal comes at a time when the NFL is partnering with sportsbooks. PointsBet also has operations in Illinois and Indiana.

Both franchises are excited to have PointsBet as their official sports betting partners.

“As we break into the sports betting category for the first time, we couldn’t be more excited to welcome PointsBet to the Bears family as a proud partner,” said Bears President and CEO Ted Phillips. “This deal will bring fans a new way to interact with and cheer on the club.”

PointsBet also had kind words to say about their partner in Indianapolis. “PointsBet is thrilled to partner with the Colts, aligning with this great organization and its hugely passionate fanbase,” said Johnny Aitken, PointsBet USA CEO. “PointsBet is the only sportsbook to have partnerships in place with both the Pacers and now the Colts, and we’re extremely proud of that.”

The partnership with two NFL teams will help PointsBet, and the Bears and Colts expand the sports betting market.

PointsBet Expansion

PointsBet has been on a roll with partnerships. This summer, PointsBet partnered with the Indiana Pacers in a multi-year deal. Now, in one weekend, they partnered with the Chicago Bears and Indianapolis Colts.

The partnership with the two NFL franchises will allow PointsBet to advertise and display signage across the teams’ stadiums and see PointsBet ads on Bears social media platforms and other digital platforms.

For the Bears, the deal looked like it was coming soon after Devin Hester became an official partner with PointsBet earlier this summer. PointsBet already partnered with one Indianapolis sports franchise, which helped secure another partnership in the city.

PointsBet is starting to secure a share of the midwest market. They are already in Iowa and recently entered Indiana and Illinois. They have three partnerships with professional sports teams, and two of those are with NFL franchises.

This could be a great position for PointsBet to find themselves in. They are attacking one region of the U.S. to find security before expanding outward to different parts of the country. Yes, they have a sportsbook in New Jersey, but the midwest looks to be their stronghold.

NFL and Sports Betting

The Denver Broncos were the first team to form a partnership with a sportsbook earlier this year. Then, over the last few weeks, the Philadelphia Eagles and New York Giants formed sports betting partnerships.

Now, the Colts and Bears are getting in on the action taking advantage of new partnerships to help fan engagement.

The NFL is the most popular sport to bet in the U.S., so it only makes sense for these teams to make these partnerships. It will help fan engagement and possibly bring in new fans to use their platform.

PointsBet will most likely set up kiosks at the stadiums, so fans can place bets for the game they are at. With how popular sports betting is becoming, this opens up a different avenue for the NFL to take advantage of from a business standpoint.
