Preview of UFC Fight Night: Felder vs dos Anjos, and How to Watch on ESPN+

UFC Fight Night Felder vs dos Anjos Preview

This weekend’s UFC event is UFC Fight Night Night: Felder vs. dos Anjos. On a card headlined by two veterans in Paul Felder and Rafael dos Anjos, this event is also stacked with a lot of up-and-comers. There are 12 fights on this card, which will be held at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas.

In the prelims, the one fight that stands out to most fight fans is likely to be the Bantamweight matchup between Louis Smolka (16-7) and Jose Alberto Quinonez (8-4). Both fighters are coming off of losses, but both are solid fighters looking to get into the Bantamweight rankings and make some noise.

On the main card, the penultimate fight is a Welterweight bout between Abdul Razak Alhassan (10-2) and Kalinn Williams (10-1). Alhassan is coming off of a loss but had three first-round knockout victories in his previous three fights. Williams’ last fight was back in February when he came in on just eight days’ notice and knocked out Alex Morono in just 27 seconds.

In the main event, Paul Felder (17-5) will take on Rafael dos Anjos (29-13) in a Lightweight bout. Felder is currently ranked #7 in the Lightweight division, with dos Anjos coming in at #12 in the Welterweight division. dos Anjos has moved down a weight class and is the current favorite, heading into the weekend at -175 odds.

UFC Fight Night Felder vs dos Anjos Fight Predictions

This weekend’s UFC card features some exciting matchups, as well as some great betting opportunities. Here are some predictions for a few of the biggest fights of the event.

Louis Smolka vs. Jose Alberto Quinonez

Quinonez was knocked out in the first round in his last fight by Sean O’Malley. When a fighter gets knocked out like that, they usually enter their next fight overly timid. Smolka was expected to be a legit prospect four years ago, but his career has been heading the other way after losing six of his last eight fights. All of those losses by decision or submission. He shouldn’t have to worry about submission from Quinonez, so Smolka should be able to pick apart a timid Quinonez and score an early finish to get back in the right direction.

Pick: Smolka by KO

Abdul Razak Alhassan vs. Kalinn Williams

This is going to be a fight between two big hitters. If one fight is not going the distance on this card, it will be this bout between Alhassan and Williams. Despite Williams’s quick knockout in his last fight, he is a sizeable underdog at about +210. Alhassan is the more rounded fighter, and his two career losses have come as decisions. He typically finishes fights with his fists, and he should do so again in this bout.

Pick: Alhassan by KO

Paul Felder vs Rafael dos Anjos

Paul Felder is one of the toughest guys in the UFC. In his five career losses, he has only been knocked out once, with four coming via decision. His last four fights have all ended in decisions. dos Anjos has lost four of his last fights, but when you look at who he fought (Kamaru Usman, Colby Covington, Kevin Lee, Michael Chiesa), you can understand why. This should be a dogfight between two veterans, but dos Anjos is the better fighter and should ultimately get the decision in this one as neither fighter is going down in this one.

Pick: dos Anjos by decision
