Push Gaming Acquired By MGM Resorts International Through LeoVegas

MGM Resorts International has officially acquired Push Gaming. This acquisition was done through LeoVegas, a subsidiary of MGM Resorts International with a focus on iGaming. This move makes a lot of sense, as Push Gaming has made its name by creating different games for betting platforms.

LeoVegas originally became associated with MGM Resorts International in 2022, and this represents the very first big investment with the company.

Push Gaming Acquired By MGM Resorts Subsidiary LeoVegas

It’s just been reported that LeoVegas, a company under the MGM Resorts International umbrella for the past year, has acquired Push Gaming. LeoVegas will now have access to Push Gaming’s intellectual property, developmental experience, and technology.

Push Gaming has over 100 different employees, each of which will continue to work on games after the LeoVegas purchase is complete. Although this acquisition was announced in a press release, it will likely not fully take place until the third quarter of the year, as customary and regulatory approvals must be completed first. LeoVegas CEO Gustaf Hagman and MGM Resorts International President Gary Fritz both expressed excitement over the investment.

Push Gaming Offers An Impressive Portfolio Of Games

Originally founded in 2010, Push Gaming has created over 30 games. Some of the most popular Push Gaming titles include Bison Battle, Fire Hopper, Dinopolis, Razor Shark, and Space Stacks. The company continues to create new games, with the recent release of Dino P.D. in April of 2023.

In all, Push Gaming has offered their collection of games to over 200 different gaming operators across the world. Push Gaming is also a proponent of responsible gaming, with a full section on its website detailing its commitment to safe, fair gaming.

The company’s games are also available in over 25 languages. Push Gaming has collaborated with 888Casino, Cool Bet, Hero Gaming, and Super Bet. Additionally, Push Media has a wide range of media partners, such as Casino grounds, Square In The Air, SlotsWise, and Play Slots.

What The Deal Means For MGM Resorts International

The latest move should continue the consistent growth of MGM Resorts International. The company focuses on entertainment and gambling, seen especially with its numerous casino resorts. MGM Resorts International is responsible for some major brick-and-mortar casinos across the U.S., such as the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Empire City Casino in New York, and the Beau Rivage in Mississippi.

The company has also launched the BetMGM brand, which has now become one of the top names in online gaming with the iGaming app BetMGM Casino Online and the mobile sport betting site BetMGM Sportsbook. In the ever-competitive world of online sports wagering, BetMGM Sportsbook is one of the top market shareholders, alongside major names like DraftKings Sportsbook, Caesars Sportsbook, and FanDuel Sportsbook. Meanwhile, BetMGM Casino is available in New Jersey, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia, and has become a top choice for online casino users. Whether the Push Gaming purchase results in more games being added to BetMGM Casino remains to be seen.
