Contents
On Sunday, November 21st, the 4-5 San Francisco 49ers battle the 2-7 Jacksonville Jaguars at TIAA Bank Field field in Jacksonville, Florida. Both teams have had disappointing starts to the season but are hopeful to change the tides this week. The 49ers are projected to win with a 64.3% confidence, according to ESPN’s projections. However, with critical 49ers players such as Elijah Mitchell being doubtful to return, there leaves hope for the Jaguars to create an upset.

Trevor Lawrence Under 226.5 Passing Yards
The Heisman runner-up, Trevor Lawrence, has led the Jacksonville Jaguars to a disappointing start in his rookie year. They started their season with five consecutive losses, only breaking the streak against the Miami Dolphins. Lawrence’s only other win came from a confusing match-up between the Jaguars and the Bills, where he failed to throw a touchdown pass and peaked at 118 passing yards. Lawrence is just short of averaging 200 passing yards a game and has only surpassed 26 yards in 4/10 of his NFL appearances. According to LineUps, the 49ers’ defense is ranked 13th in the league. This ranking makes me wary that he would be able to reach the 226 mark against other Top 15 defenses. It would take a miracle for Lawrence to reach his peak performance against this 49ers team.
Deebo Samuel Over 71.5 Receiving Yards
In Week 10, the 49ers played the Las Angeles Rams at home when Deebo Samuel suffered a shin injury. He was considered day-to-day on his recovery until this morning when the 49ers announced he will be playing on Sunday. However, he had been playing through a calf injury earlier this year and is still able to manage an astonishing 97.4 receiving yards a game. Samuel has been a crucial part of this 49ers’ offense with his ability to both receive and rush the ball impressively. He averages 5.4 receptions a game, which is just shy of this bet, but he is averaging 8.6 targets a game. If he can focus on finishing a catch, I don’t believe the Jaguars’ defense will be able to stop him. His injury may interfere with Jimmy Garoppolo’s faith, but I think the QB can not undermine Samuel’s importance to this offense.
George Kittle Under 64.5 Receiving Yards
When people think of impressive Tight Ends in the league, George Kittle makes the list. Unfortunately, Kittle has not been at peak health this 2021 season. Kittle’s stats don’t match the others in the league after sustaining a calf injury that left him on the sideline for three games. As impressive as he is, he has only been averaging close to 40 receiving yards a game. In the 49ers’ last game against the Los Angeles Rams, Kittle only put up 50 yards but managed to score a touchdown. Kittle is a player that will make the necessary play but hasn’t shown his ability to go above and beyond for his quarterback, Jimmy Garoppolo. However, if Deebo were on the sideline for this week, I would see Garoppolo relying on Kittle more. Unfortunately for Kittle fantasy owners, I don’t see a potential for Kittle to increase his yardage to the point of 64 yards this game.
