Scottie Scheffler Odds: To Win The 2025 U.S. Open
Scheffler, McIlroy, DeChambeau Atop U.S. Open Betting Odds
Per golf oddsmaker Jeff Sherman, Scheffler was highly motivated to win the PGA Championship, priced as a consensus +450 co-favorite. He cashed in on these expectations, with his odds being the shortest to win any major since Tiger Woods (+200) at the 2008 U.S. Open.
Ahead of the 2025 U.S. Open, Scheffler is a favorite. Last year, his odds were +325. A victory at Oakmont would put him three-quarters of the way to delivering the career Grand Slam. His other obstacle is the Open Championship (July 17-20), in which he showcases the second-shortest odds () behind Rory McIlroy.
Unsurprisingly, McIlroy is positioned second on the U.S. Open odds board. Although his PGA Championship odds were among the shortest in the field, he failed to match his previous success at Quail Hollow, finishing T47.
Bryson DeChambeau, the defending U.S. Open champion (+2000), owns the third-best odds at . On Saturday, DeChambeau seemed ready to give Scheffler a run for his money, posting a birdie on the 15th hole to go eight-under-par and earn sole possession of the lead.
However, the “Green Mile,” Quail Hollow’s famous three closing holes, had a change of plans. After immediately notching a bogey and double bogey, DeChambeau went from first place to tied for eighth and six shots behind Scheffler with a round left. He placed T2 with Harris English and Davis Riley.
If Scheffler wins the U.S. Open and the Open Championship, he’ll become only the seventh golfer to complete the career Grand Slam, joining McIlroy, Tiger Woods, Jack Nicklaus, Gary Player, Ben Hogan, and Gene Sarazen.
