Seattle Seahawks vs. Kansas City Chiefs Player Prop Picks
The Seattle Seahawks visit the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 16 of the 2022-23 NFL Season. The Seahawks are coming off a close loss last week, while the Chiefs are coming off an overtime win last week. This should be an interesting matchup with playoff implications in both the NFC and the AFC. Let’s take a look at some prop bets that make the most sense for this game on Sunday.
Patrick Mahomes Over 295.5 Passing Yards
Patrick Mahomes has been incredible this year and is having an MVP-like season. He has 4,496 passing yards, 35 passing touchdowns, 11 interceptions, and he has a 67% completion percentage on the year. He’s hit over this number in 9 of the 14 games that the Chiefs have played in. Mahomes is still the best quarterback in the NFL and is probably second in the MVP race too. The Seahawks allow 234 passing yards a game, which is a decent matchup for Mahomes. Take this bet because it’s been tough to bet against Mahomes all year. He’s going to pass the ball a lot and get his yards against an okay at best defense. Mahomes is on a mission to potentially win another MVP and he can continue to show it in this game.
DK Metcalf Over 77.5 Receiving Yards
DK Metcalf has been great this year, even without Russell Wilson at quarterback. He has 79 receptions, 924 receiving yards, and six receiving touchdowns on the year. He’s also hit over this number in 4 of the 14 games that the Seahawks have played in. The key here is that Lockett is banged up, so Metcalf is going to get more opportunities here. The Chiefs allow 249 passing yards a game, which is a decent matchup for Metcalf to take advantage of. Take this bet because he’s going to see even more targets in this game if Lockett isn’t good to go, on top of a favorable matchup against the Chiefs pass defense. He’s such a matchup nightmare and I expect the Chiefs to be another team that has issues covering him.
Travis Kelce Over 78.5 Receiving Yards
Travis Kelce has been amazing this year and cemented himself as the best tight end in the NFL even more. He has 91 receptions, 1,144 receiving yards, and 12 receiving touchdowns on the year. He’s also hit over this number in 8 of the 14 games that the Chiefs have played in. He’s become even more of a receiving threat this year after Tyreek Hill went to the Dolphins. The Seahawks allow 234 passing yards a game which is a decent matchup for Kelce to take advantage of. The way the Chiefs offense operates, you need to account for everyone, which is a big reason why Kelce has thrived. Take this bet because he’s the primary receiver and is going to have no shortage of opportunities thanks to Mahomes. This should be another showcase game for Kelce to take advantage of as a receiver this year.
