Seattle Seahawks vs. San Francisco 49ers Player Prop Picks
The Seattle Seahawks visit the San Francisco 49ers in Week 2 of the 2022-23 NFL Season. The last time these teams played was in Seattle last year on Week 13 where the Seahawks won 30-23 and also swept the series last year. These division rivals do not like each other and play dynamic matchups whenever they play. Lets’ take a look at the odds and also look at some player prop bets that make the most sense here too!
DK Metcalf Over 56.5 Receiving Yards
DK Metcalf is Seattle’s no. 1 receiving threat, but had a bit of an underachieving game last week against the Broncos. Expect Geno Smith and the rest of the Seattle offense to get DK Metcalf involved early and often. Metcalf should see a lot of targets in this game against a very good San Francisco defense. San Francisco didn’t get beat a ton against the pass last week, partly because of how bad the weather was in Chicago, but expect Seattle to utilize the pass more, and because of that Metcalf is going to be the biggest benefactor. This is an easy and solid pick, don’t overthink it, even if San Francisco has a good defense.
Jeff Wilson Jr. Over 51.5 Rushing Yards
The San Francisco offense is predicated on the running game. They just lost Elijah Mitchell to injury, so Jeff Wilson Jr. will get the nod as the starting running back. San Francisco utilizes the running game in a lot of creative ways, so I expect whoever would start at running back for San Francisco would be successful and in this case it’s Jeff Wilson Jr. The Seattle defense has been gutted recently, so expect the 49ers offense to rebound after last week. The running game should get going with Trey Lance at quarterback, as well as Jeff Wilson Jr. This is one of the more solid bets in this game just because of the way the San Francisco offense operates, its a safe bet to bet on the running back there.
Trey Lance Over 200.5 Passing Yards
I actually love this bet in this game. Trey Lance struggled last game in Chicago, but the weather was awful in that game and it was hard for any part of the San Francisco offense to get going at all. This feels like a perfect bounce back game for Trey Lance and he gets the Seattle defense that has lost a lot recently on that side of the ball. The Seattle defense deserves credit for how they played in Week 1, but it was an emotional game against their former quarterback, is it really safe to assume that’s the Seattle defense we’ll see for the rest of the year? I’m going to bet on it not being who they are, and the cracks in that armor might start to show against San Francisco in Week 2. Trey Lance has a lot of potential as a quarterback, and it’s safe to assume that last week wasn’t who he is and instead he should rebound and throw it all over the place against a Seattle team that might be overmatched here.
