Sportradar and Twinspires Team up for 5 Year Sports Betting Deal

Sportradar has announced that it has reached a five-year agreement with TwinSpires as a sports betting partnership. TwinSpires is the new sports betting arm of Churchill Downs Inc., the company that owns and operates the famous race track in Kentucky.

The Kentucky Derby is set to take place on May 1, 2021, and this partnership couldn’t have come at a better time for either company. This will lead to a much better sports betting experience for TwinSpires customers and will allow that company to become a major force in the US industry.

TwinSpires will gain access to the sports betting data that Sportradar provides, including both pre-match and live betting information. This is not an exclusive deal for Sportradar as it already powers several sportsbooks throughout the US and internationally.

Churchill Downs Moves on From BetAmerica

TwinSpires has seen some big growth in the last few months since it became the new sports betting arm of Churchill Downs. BetAmerica was the previous sports betting site offered by CDI, but a change was needed in order to grow.

This change was announced at the beginning of 2021, and it took Churchill Downs little time to launch a TwinSpires branded sportsbook in the state of Michigan. Michigan legalized online sports betting at the end of January, and TwinSpires was ready to go on opening day.

Churchill Downs still has BetAmerica sportsbooks in five states around the US, but those will all be rebranded by the end of 2021 as well. With this new partnership, TwinSpires is also expected to seek out other opportunities.

Sportradar Celebrating 20 Years

Sportradar is a company that was founded way back in 2001, but it has seen significant growth over the last 12 months. In March, Sportradar entered into an agreement with Synergy Sports, and it will take over that data company.

Sportradar has been focusing on the US sports betting industry of late, but this company has partnered with more than 1,000 companies in different parts of the world. It has also been able to form a partnership with FIFA, NASCAR, NBA, NHL, and Major League Baseball.

Kentucky Derby Betting Odds
