The matchup that we’ve been waiting for all season. Bruce Arians finally gets to face off against Mac Jones. OK, I’m kidding. We’re all waiting to see how Tom Brady fares against Bill Belichick after the two spent decades together winning games and hoisting championship trophies. Tampa Bay is coming off a tough loss against the Los Angeles Rams, and have to be hungry for a win here. Meanwhile, the Patriots have seen some struggles so far this season, which should be expected when starting a rookie QB. With this Sunday Night Football game looking to shatter some rating records, let’s take a look at what you should expect from some of the big players in this major matchup.

Tom Brady Over 2.5 Passing TDs
This isn’t exactly an obscure pick, but I fully expect it to hit. Brady has been averaging 3.3 TDs through the air per game this season, and something tells me he wants to keep that going against his former team. WR Antonio Brown is back in the lineup after missing last week due to COVID concerns. Expect Brady to fire on all cylinders and drive a few balls into the end zone.
Damien Harris Under 46.5 Rushing Yards
I went into this season pretty high on Damien Harris, expecting him to be a major part of the gameplan with a rookie QB at the helm. That hasn’t exactly been the case so far this season. Harris only has 176 yards this season, with his number plummeting after a 100-yard day to start the season. Don’t expect that to change Sunday night. While the Tampa Bay defense hasn’t seemed totally themselves, they’re stopping the run. They’re currently fifth in the league in run defense, allowing only 63.7 yards per game. The Pats will have to keep it airborne to try and match the energy of the Buccaneers offense. Once again, Harris won’t be a major part of the offensive game plan for better or for worse.
Buccaneers Defense To Score a TD
I’m not saying this is a sure thing, but what a fun prop to watch. The Tampa Bay defense has four picks so far this season, and I expect they’ll add to that number against a struggling Mac Jones. Meanwhile, Jones is coming off a game in which he threw a costly pick-six against the New Orleans Saints. It very well could happen again Sunday night. I saw this number as +350 on DraftKings, and I’m liking those odds at the moment.
Mac Jones Over 38.5 Pass Attempts
The Pats aren’t afraid to let their rookie quarterback work out his arm. Through three games, Mac Jones is averaging 40 attempts per game, with 51 total against the New Orleans Saints last week. Don’t be surprised if he approaches that number on Sunday. I expect the Pats will need to play catchup for a portion of this game. Watch as Jones airs it out to keep up with the star quarterback that’s over two decades his senior.
