These Ohio Casinos Now Offer Retail Sports Betting
Contents
Ohio sports betting hasn’t even been around an entire week, and there are already plenty of different ways to place wagers in the state. As both mobile sports betting and retail sports betting are totally live, you can place bets through your smartphone or in person at different retail betting spots.
There are plenty of casinos and racinos located across the Buckeye State, plenty of which now offer retail sports betting options. With many Ohio sports bettors looking for a betting lounge or in-person location to place their bets, here’s a look at some of the most popular retail sportsbook options.
Major Names Highlight Ohio Casino Sportsbooks
While there are plenty of excellent retail sports betting options in the state of Ohio, Hard Rock Casino Cincinnati had a particularly interesting opening. The popular casino took the very first legal sports bet in the state from former Cincinnati Reds pitcher and manager Pete Rose at a special New Years event.
The retired star placed a wager on his former team to win the World Series this season with a big potential payout. And, speaking of the Reds, the team opened its very own retail sportsbook with the Cincinnati Reds Machine Room. The BetMGM Sportsbook, now located at Great American Ballpark, also took some noteworthy bets on the Cincinnati Reds.
Another retail BetMGM Sportsbook has opened its doors at MGM National Park, which makes sense considering the property is owned by MGM Resorts International. That pertilcar BetMGM retail sportsbook features a full betting lounge that lets you order from the nearby TAP Sports Bar.
Some of the other top sports betting operators have also opened up in-person sports betting in local horse racing hotspots. FanDuel Sportsbook has just launched its retail sportsbook at Belterra Park in Cincinnati, with Caesars Sportsbook doing the same at Scioto Downs in Columbus.
Barstool Sportsbook also has retail presence across Hollywood Casino locations across Ohio, such as Hollywood Casino at Mahoning Valley Race Course, Hollywood Casino Columbus, Hollywood Gaming at Dayton Raceway, and Hollywood Casino Toledo.
Jack Entertainment has rolled out its betJACK retail sportsbooks into two popular locations: Jack Cleveland Casino and Jack Thistledown Racino.

Other Unique Ohio Retail Sports Betting Options
While those are some of the biggest examples of casinos and racinos teaming up with sports betting operators to open up in-person wagering, there are some other unique spots to place bets as well. Rather than teaming up with an existing sportsbook, Miami Valley Gaming is now home to its own branded sportsbook that also accepts horse racing wagers.
Superbook Sports, which has established itself as a well-known mobile sportsbook, it is currently available at Taft’s Ale House in collaboration with the local soccer club FC Cincinnati. The retail sportsbook is only temporary, though, as the team plans to open its very own sports betting area near its home field TQL Stadium in the future.
Additionally, sports betting kiuosks are now available at plenty of different retail locations across the state, providing easy-to-use betting machines at restaurants, bars, and even grocery stores.
