Washington Commanders vs. New York Giants Player Prop Picks
The Washington Commanders visit the New York Giants in Week 13 of the 2022-23 NFL Season. The Commanders are coming off a last second win, while the Giants also lost a game that wasn’t as close as the final score seemed. This should be an interesting matchup for the pecking order of the NFC East. Let’s take a look at some prop bets that make the most sense for this game on Sunday.
Daniel Jones Over 0.5 Passing Touchdowns
Daniel Jones came into this season with a lot of pressure to perform and he’s actually been decent this year. He has 2,165 passing yards, 10 passing touchdowns, four interceptions and he has a 65% completion percentage on the year. He’s also hit over this number in passing touchdowns in 7 of the 11 games the Giants have played in. The Giants have focused a lot on the running game, so the play-action passing game is going to be a big key for the Giants here. The Commanders are also okay against the pass and allow 220 yards a game. This bet is great because Daniel Jones needs to keep the Commanders honest, so expect at least one touchdown pass here. Daniel Jones has been way better than anyone thought he would be this year, and could be playing his way into being the long term starter for the Giants.
Terry McLaurin Over 61.5 Receiving Yards
Terry McLaurin has been great for the Commanders this year. He has 54 receptions, 840 receiving yards, and two receiving touchdowns on the year. He’s also hit over this number in 6 of the 12 games that the Commanders have played in. He’s easily the Commanders’ best receiving option, so the volume of touches should push him over this total. The Giants are also decent against the pass and allow 227 passing yards a game, so McLaurin still has a decent chance getting the over here. This bet works because of the volume of touches he’ll see and him being the best option for the Commanders in the receiving corps. McLaurin has been the biggest consistent piece for the Commanders this year on offense regardless of who’s quarterback.
Saquon Barkley Over 70.5 Rushing Yards
Saquon Barkley has been having a great year, especially because he’s healthy. He has 224 carries, 992 rushing yards, and seven rushing touchdowns on the year. He’s also hit over this number in rushing yards in 7 of the 11 games that the Giants have played in. He’s been a workhorse for the Giants and been very reliable since he’s finally had a full year to be healthy in awhile. The Commanders allow 108 rushing yards a game, which is a tough matchup for Barkley. This bet seems like as close to a sure bet as possible because Barkley has been so consistent and he’s going to get his touches regardless because they rely so much on him. Barkley has also cemented himself as one of the top running backs in the NFL.
