Week 17 Super Bowl Odds Update: Fantastic Value to be Had
Contents
The final week of the NFL season is coming up, and there is still a ton left to decide when it comes to who will be participating in the playoffs and what the seeding will look like. However, this has left a lot of different odds up on the table for Super Bowl bets.
The table will be showing odds provided by BetMGM, FanDuel, and DraftKings for New Jersey as of December 30th, 2020. There is some great value and not so great value to be had on these teams when looking through the offerings on each one of these three major sportsbooks.

Favorites
The favorites are quite obviously the Chiefs, Packers, Saints, and Bills, as all four teams have been on a tear in the NFL lately. These teams are the only ones to put together incredible records alongside a hot end to the season. However, the only bet that seems to have a ton of value for money is the Bills at +900. It seems that only the Chiefs really stand in their way in terms of talent and form as of late. The Saints have flaws, and the Packers’ defense is always a worry. Combine that with some pretty low payouts across these sportsbooks, and I think that the Bills might become a fan favorite.
Values
Washington Football Team
When it comes to value for money, there are a few teams that really stick out. The first is Washington at +15,000 on BetMGM. Yes, Washington does not even have a winning record and does even have a spot secure in the playoffs right now. However, with Alex Smith, Antonio Gibson, and that defense healthy, the team could beat anyone. If Washington makes the playoffs, I foresee a wild card upset in the making, without a doubt. Whenever a team has that strong of a defensive line and can put points up, they can win any given Sunday, as we saw on the road against the Steelers. With +15,000 if Washington pulls off even an NFC Championship appearance, then you could probably hedge your bet for some cash.
Los Angeles Rams
The other team that has been severely downgraded as of late is the Rams, falling to as far as +3,500 on BetMGM. The Rams are somewhat in the same boat as Washington, except with much more talent on either side of the ball. The Rams have my number one defense going into the post-season, and if Jared Goff gets healthy and plays well, then this team is a Super Bowl favorite. Sean McVay is still a good offensive coach, and if he can just scheme a few more points onto the board, then the defense can handle the rest.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers
The last bit of value I see is the Buccaneers. This all has to do with Brady being Brady and maybe a little bit to do with the refs seemingly giving the Bucs a hand at every turn due to the favorable calls Brady somehow always gets. At +1,300 on FanDuel, that is some serious cash to be made on a team that has the GOAT at QB with weapons all around him on the offense.
