Massachusetts sports betting is coming soon, and fans in the state are definitely excited. Although online sports betting is still a few months away, retail sports betting is expected to be fully available on January 31st, 2023. This means, as long as you’re at least 21 years of age, you’ll be able to go to a betting kiosk or dedicated desk and place bets on different sporting events.
With that in mind, plenty of retail sportsbooks are preparing to open doors across the Bay State. With a retail WynnBET Sportsbook coming to a popular Boston casino, let’s look into the upcoming rollout of physical sportsbooks in Massachusetts.
Encore Boston Harbor Prepares To Open WynnBET Sportsbook
With in-person sports wagering coming next Tuesday, casinos are getting ready to open a number of different retail sportsbooks. The three physical casinos in the area have been given betting licenses that will allow for retail sportsbooks to launch.
One of the top casinos in the area, Encore Boston Harbor, has made it a major focus to get retail sports betting rolling, and it’s looking like the location will be fully ready for in-person sports betting on the 31st at 10 a.m.
The WynnBET Sportsbook at Encore Boston Harbor should see a major opening, especially considering we’re only a few weeks away from the Super Bowl. The retail sportsbook will have not just 10 betting windows, but a planned 120 different betting kiosks as well.
Plus, according to Boston 25 News, the parking garage at Encore Boston Harbor will feature an express sportsbook, meaning you’ll be able to place bets on different games without even stepping foot in the casino.

Other Retail Sportsbooks Launching In Massachusetts
In addition to the WynnBET Sportsbook at Encore Boston Harbor, a few other retail betting spots are expected to open up next week. BetMGM Sportsbook, the wagering platform from MGM Resorts International, is planning on opening a physical sportsbook at the MGM Springfield on January 31st as well.
That date will also see a Barstool Sportsbook launch at the popular Plainridge Park Casino. However, more in-person casinos are expected to be available in the state soon, with Suffolk Downs in Boston planning on expanding into retail sports betting. And, thanks to a recent partnership between Raynham Park and Caesars Entertainment, a Caesars Sportsbook is coming to the popular off track betting spot.

When Will Massachusetts Launch Online Sports Betting?
With Massachusetts retail sports betting available at the end of January, bettors in the area will also be looking forward to the convenience of online wagering. Although no official date has been given, mobile Massachusetts sports betting is expected to be available in March of 2023, likely before the March Madness tournament tips off.
In addition to the retail sportsbook, WynnBET Sportsbook is expected to roll out its mobile betting site after getting an online license in January. WynnBet Sportsbook MA looks to be joined by such major online sports betting operators as PointsBet Sportsbook, FanDuel Sportsbook, DraftKings Sportsbook, BetRivers Sportsbook, and Caesars Sportsbook, as well as newcomer Betr Sportsbook.
