The 2020 fantasy football season is quickly approaching which means it’s time to get a start on your research. We have you covered with our fantasy football rankings as well as projections for the upcoming season. If you are interested in the defensive side of the ball we have you covered there as well. Leave no stone unturned and check out everything we have to offer.
Time is ticking on Corey Davis moving up the ladder in this league. The Titans drafted another wideout, and also signed Adam Humphries. They will also get back Delanie Walker. Davis struggled with efficiency and his volume eventually carried him to at least respectable numbers. Taking a deep dive into Davis’ 2019 outlook, things do not look great.
2018 Fantasy Recap
Tier | FPTS 2018 | Rating | GP | SNPS/G | TGT | REC | TGT/G | YDS | 100+ YDS | YDS/REC | TD | Yahoo PTS/G |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
3 | 118.6 | 80 | 16 | 54.5 | 112 | 65 | 7 | 891 | 2 | 13.7 | 4 | 9.4 |
Corey Davis played all 16 games, which was a success given he had some injuries coming into the NFL. Home run threat wideouts have been tricky for teams to get right, and Davis hasn’t really delivered upon his hype. Davis had a sub 60% catch rate on 112 targets. He also doesn’t have a ton of touchdown upside, and we saw that with just four. Coming off his rookie season, he saw an increase in targets, but that could take a dip in 2019. Despite doubling his targets from his rookie year, Davis only jumped one full reception per game in 2018. The Titans offense has not been a fun one to ride in fantasy, and Davis could take a step backwards given the surrounding options coming in.
2019 Fantasy Outlook
Position Ranking | ADP | Auction Value | Bye Week | Receptions | Receiving Yards | Touchdowns |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
WR29 | 9.19 | $15 | 11 | 67.3 | 879.3 | 4.4 |
As Adam Levitan says in the tweet, you can see the efficiency he had given the target share. This is not ideal given he couldn’t produce big fantasy numbers despite all the volume. The Titans did draft a wideout highly, and also paid Humphries a hefty amount of money. Tennessee also remains one of the heavier running teams in the league. His ceiling is about what he produced this season, and he could certainly slip out of even being a top 30-35 wideout.
I am not buying into Tennessee being a viable offense this year outside of the run game or some deeper value in the passing game. Davis would have to slip late for me to have any sort of interest. Davis is best viewed as a FLEX option, and shouldn’t be in the mix for your three wideout spots. There are better options. Given the weekly volatility, he is going to be used more as a bye week fill-in or on injury plagued fantasy teams.
Corey Davis had a massive 25.6% target share last season and still finished as fantasy’s No. 38 WR in PPR points per game. Has to be some kind of record.
Now AJ Brown, Delanie, Adam Humphries all in the mix.

Draft & Auction Value
There is not a ton of value in Corey Davis, and getting to the bottom of this article you can probably get my take already. Davis won’t make his way much onto my fantasy teams, other than being used as a fill-in or deep bench guy. His ADP should drop as the year goes on, especially once people begin to shy away from the passing game in general. For auction leagues, Davis is nothing more than a few bucks for me, and anything higher than $5 would be a stretch. Expect this number above to go down over the summer as well.
