The first week of the fantasy football playoffs are finally upon us this week. Good luck to all that have made it this far in the season in hopes of the title. For the fantasy playoffs you will want to expose as many great matchups as you can. Being flexible with your lineup and bench is a key to success in fantasy football. Players you should consider dropping are the players with an inconsistent role in the offense and has tough matchups ahead. WR Zach Pascal (IND) vs TB – 28.0% Rostered

After a few quiet weeks from the Colts wide receiver, Pascal caught 7 of 10 targets for 109 yards totaling 14.4 fantasy points against a tough Tennessee defense. A much more favorable matchup in week 14 for the Colts’ wide receivers. Facing the Tampa Bay Buccaneers who rank dead last against opposing fantasy wide receivers. The Buccaneers have allowed the 2nd most passing yards, the 3rd most passing touchdowns, 10.7 yards per completion (13th lowest), and a yards per attempt of 6.7 yards (17th lowest). Pascal has been extremely involved in the Colts’ offense, playing at least 88% of snaps since week 8 of the season. Seeing the second most targets so far this season, Pascal has also been averaging a massive 15.8 yards per completion. T.Y. Hilton was hopeful to return against the Bucs this week however, Hilton was a non-participant during Thursday’s practice. Marlon Mack did return to practice in full on Thursday. With Mack returning to this offense, the run-game will need to be more respected by opposing defenses. The Colts’ are starting to get some of their key pieces back. A great matchup against the Bucs in week 14 proves to be promising sign for Pascal to continue performing well.

WR Deebo Samuel (SF) vs NO – 46.9% Rostered

Samuel has been very productive over the past 4 weeks. Averaging 14.4 fantasy points per game over the past 4 weeks. Samuel has benefitted from Emmanuel Sanders limited snaps over the past few weeks. In week 13 Sanders played 98% of the offensive snaps against the Ravens where Samuel saw just 4 targets. Facing the New Orleans Saints who rank 24th against opposing fantasy wide receivers. The Saints have one of the best run defenses in the league, ranking 4th against opposing fantasy running-backs. Facing a stout defense with an explosive offense, the 49ers will be needing to lean on Jimmy Garoppolo to throw the ball more against the Saints. Samuel has led the 49ers wide receivers in target share in 4 of the last 5 weeks. Allowing the 16th most passing yards, and the 14th most passing touchdowns. Deebo Samuel is a great streaming option this week.

TE Dallas Goedert (PHI) vs NYG – 37.4% Rostered

The #2 tight-end of the Philadelphia Eagles has been a key part of this Philadelphia offense. Seeing 5 or more targets in the past 5 weeks. The Eagles, after a more than disappointing loss to the Dolphins, are still in contention for the playoffs. The Eagles will be looking to make a statement to the rest of the division against their bitter rival the New York Giants. The Giants have allowed the 7th most passing yards, 6th highest yards per completion, and the 3rd highest yards per attempt. Goedert has seen the 3rd most red-zone targets on this season as well as the 4th most targets on the team. A great matchup for the young receiving tight-end in week 14. Rostered in just over 37% of leagues, Goedert is a great option to play at tight-end.

QB Ryan Tannehill (TEN) vs OAK – 35.0% Rostered

One of the biggest surprises of the season is how well Tannehill has been playing as of late. Completing 72.7% of his passes, second in the NFL behind Drew Brees. He also leads the NFL in yards per attempt at 9.1 yards. Tannehill has been able to create some chemistry between he and rookie wide receiver A.J. Brown who has been a big play maker for this Tennessee offense. Facing the Oakland raiders who rank 29th against opposing fantasy quarterbacks this season. Allowing the 9th most passing yards, 4th most passing touchdowns, 4th in yards per completion (12.1 yards) and 5th in yards per attempt (7.7 yards). With how this Titans’ offense has been rolling lately, beating teams like the Kansas City Chiefs and the Indianapolis Colts over the past 3 weeks. They will face the Raiders who just lost 2 bad games in a row against the Jets and the Chiefs. The Titans are fighting to win their division and get into the playoffs. Tannehill will be looking to shred this lackluster Raiders secondary to keep their win streak going.

WR James Washington (PIT) vs ARI – 31% Rostered

Washington has strung himself a few great weeks these past two games. Catching all four of his targets for 111 yards against Cleveland in week 13. Since Devlin “Duck” Hodges entered the lineup in week 12, the Steelers have been on a roll and finding some explosiveness to their offense. Seeing 11 targets over the past 2 weeks, Washington has done a lot with the targets he’s seen. Catching 7 of the 11 for 209 yards and 2 touchdowns. The Steelers will face the Arizona Cardinals in week 14 who rank 28th against opposing fantasy wide receivers. Allowing the most passing yards, the most passing touchdowns, 8th highest yards per completion (11.2 yards), and the 2nd highest yards per attempt. A very plus matchup for who is the Steelers #1 receiving option with JuJu Smith-Schuster’s and James Conner’s injury status still up in the air. A fantasy sleeper pick and daily fantasy option will be able to fill your flex position this week.
